Bay Area Tech Hero did a great job helping us to troubleshoot Wi-fi issues in a home we recently purchased. The house was 100 years old and had a lot of old cabling and Wi-fi dead zones. They helped us design a Wi-Fi mesh network using some of the existing wiring that helped to mitigate the connectivity challenges we were experiencing. Best service ever! I had a home printer that didn't print and a scanner that didn't scan. Seemed like such a minor issue I was afraid I would never get anyone to come to the house. It was easy to make contact and set up an in- house visit the very next day. Chris showed up on time - very friendly - explained just enough so I had some idea of what was causing the issue - and before I knew it I had a fully functional printer/scanner. These folks are amazing. We had a near total simultaneous meltdown of our home network, one of our devices, our TV, and one of our cellphones. They took the whole thing on, and we couldn't be happier. As previous reviewers have said, they are knowledgeable, affordable, and super friendly. I have used Bay Area Tech Hero twice in the last month to resolve problems on my iMac. I was scheduled within one day of my request and found the service to be efficient, prompt and of the highest quality. Joe installed a system called Eero, which has solved all of our WiFi problems. Hallelujah! He also reconnected my Sonos system that had suddenly stopped working a year ago. Best of all, I do not feel like a computer illiterate when working with Joe. He is excellent at explaining what he is doing on a level that is understandable. I plan to make another appointment to deal with my disorganized photos. More...

My partner and I were struggling with terrible wireless connectivity in our old house in Alameda. We both work from home, and it was getting to be increasingly frustrating losing wireless signal and being dropped multiple times a day, and sometimes multiple times per hour! I was very fortunate to find Ari and Bay Area Tech Hero. I sent an email to Bay Area Tech Hero, and within hours Ari got back to me to set up a phone consultation. When we talked, Ari was very knowledgable, a good listener and clearly laid out the options we had to solve our problem. He didn't rush the conversation, and I felt I could ask him all my questions. My partner and I opted for going with ethernet connections in our two offices rather than adding more exposure to wireless signal in house. We were put on the installation schedule in just a few days after the phone consultation, and Francisco the installation technician was even able to do the installation on a Sunday. Francisco was punctual, efficient, friendly, communicative, and cleaned up nicely after the installation. Now our internet connection is super fast and there's no more getting dropped. Ari gave me an estimate and talked through solutions for my wifi issues at home. I work remotely and was tired of suboptimal wifi in one side of the house. Within a week, he was able to get me scheduled to have an ethernet cable running through my attic to a ceiling-mounted Eero, so I can ditch my old Orbi satellites/routers. We had a significant internet/WIFI issue at our home/office. Throughout the day and evening, we kept losing the WIFI connection. Besides losing internet access, Zoom and Team calls kept freezing up or dropping entirely. We called Ari at Bay Area Tech Hero. The service was outstanding! It's hard to find some quality personalities to come into your home and deal with your smart home system. I was taking a stab at what I would find on yelp and was very refreshed to hear about Bay Area Tech Hero owner Ari and how he got started so I thought that it would be worth reaching out to him, we started with a call and roughly what I had and was wanting. Then a tech guy came out to just kind of get the idea of what I have and how and what we use- we are going to move on from here with some recommended updates. Ari and his contractors have my unqualified admiration. I called Ari months ago and instead of trying to sell me on an upgrade or expensive wiring, he walked me through easy, do-it-yourself upgrades I could handle myself, which fixed my wi-fi problems. I've been amazed by the help I've gotten from the tech heroes. Months ago I had a failing laptop and the hero figured out what was wrong, including its advanced age,and helped me choose a new one and transferred everything from the old one to the new one. Then recently I had a problem with email and he spoke on the phone with me and instructed me which things to click on while he figured out the source of the problem, and it was fixed!
