Depsy was a delight to work with. She comes with several different techniques if your dog doesn’t adapt to the first. She is kind, flexible and effective. She even went out of her way to slightly alter our training plan to maximize the benefits for our dog. I couldn’t make classes every week on a certain day that other training companies offered but Depsy was willing to work around my schedule completely. I am beyond grateful for her care and helping my puppy! Five stars all around! More...

We love helping people establish a loving, balanced relationship with their dog. The world of dog training is full of controversy. Group classes teach people to bribe dogs with treats. Board & train facilities primarily use shock collars to scare dogs into submission. At Building Bonds Dog Training, we find fulfillment in teaching people about building a bond -- the foundation is leadership and boundaries, following/obedience is the natural byproduct and trust/respect is the lasting effect. Trust and respect reinforced over time replace fears, anxieties and aggressiveness.

At our first meeting, we ask a lot of questions and listen carefully. Together, we set goals that are realistic and achievable. Private, in-home lessons, reinforced by daily walks and practice, is the best way to get lasting results. It takes work but it's worth it.
Basic Obedience -- all ages/breeds
This training package is 4 lessons that establish leadership methods with loose-leash walking (heel) along with Sit, Stay, Come and Down.
Advanced Obedience -- all ages/breeds
This training package is 6 lessons that establish leadership methods with loose-leash walking (heel) along with Sit, Stay, Come and Down and adds off leash (home, yard) training as well.
Advanced Obedience with High Distraction
This training package is 8 lessons that establish leadership methods with loose leash walking (heel), Sit, Stay, Come and Down as well as off leash (home, yard) and high distraction training (listening off leash with other dogs/people/distractions around).
Therapy Dog Training
Teach your dog to provide affection, comfort and support to people in settings such as hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, schools, libraries, hospices, or disaster areas. At our assessment, we will evaluate your dog to determine if his/her temperament is a good fit for Therapy Dog work.
Puppy Starter Lesson
This is a single in-home lesson to assist you & your new puppy to get started on the right foot. We’ll cover house training, exercise, feeding routine, crate training, socialization, responding to common behaviors like nipping & jumping and laying the right foundations for leadership.
