My wife and I have a very simple, classic 1950's rambler, we wanted to do an addition to the house, new garage space and refresh our kitchen. We picked ERE because we wanted something different and outside the box. We were so pleased with the attention to detail and the concept that ERE designed for us. Nathan has great body awareness when it comes to he and his clients. He can watch you walk across the room and know where you are tight or a little off. He then designs his workout around that. If you have an event or sport that you are interested in, he will help you strengthen those muscles so that your experience is more enjoyable. Ron Brenner's portfolio displayed a wide variety of great architecture from residential to commercial. He has the education and experience that I seek. He's a great source on costs in a project. I haven't hired anyone yet for our remodel.

We hired Mike Eckardt of Archos to design our house which, when we began this journey, was just a vague idea in our heads. As first time custom home builders, we new what we liked when we saw it, but needed an expert/artist to bring it out and turn it into reality. We wanted a prairie style-looking house vs. a house that has just elements of that style. It was a challenge from the start as few architects or designers have deep experience or expertise in designing what we were looking for and we did not have an unlimited budget. We interviewed a number of both architects as well as design/build firms, and found most to be good, but ultimately missing the mark in terms of what we wanted. Given we couldn't find the perfect candidate up front, we came to realize what we would need is a good architect who would accept a professional challenge of designing perhaps a less familiar style and who could partner well. We were introduced to Mike and his approach and style resonated with us. Designing and building our custom home (which included a tear down to the foundation of our existing home) was a time consuming process, full of decisions and emotions. Our design timeline was perhaps longer than most because we did not want to be rushed too hard. It had to be that way because we wanted to get it right and we did not want to settle too far towards a giant compromise of ideas/budgets/practicality. The temptation to just settle was hard to resist given the pressure to move as quickly as possible. The push/pull nature of the design process we experienced, worked well. We would try to explain our vision and ideas and show photos. Mike would listen, advise and research. This process translated to renderings and designs which iterated towards a finished product. We couldn't be happier with the beautiful prairie-style home that resulted. Mike's patience, professionalism and advice were key. His realistic approach in partnering with us to execute on a project that was sound, aesthetically pleasing, true to the prairie ideals, functionally and financially realistic, led to a great outcome. He also worked well with our builder which is also critical. We would definitely recommend Mike to anyone.

John's high quality design and follow through helped us to seemlessly double the size of our 1920's Linden Hills Tudor. We receive many compliments and comments saying it is hard to tell where the old house ends and the house starts. Johns was sensitive to our family's growing changing needs. He is a great, straight forward, communicator. John is very creative and easy to work with.

Chad Haller and the rest of the 10K Architecture team did an incredible job designing our basement and master bathroom. We live in a typical 1.5 story house in Southwest Minneapolis and we chose to invest in quality design to improve our smaller space instead of increasing the footprint of our home. Prior to working with 10K, we had concepts from contractors and design build firms, but most were simple, boxy designs that didn’t inspire us enough to begin the projects. Our neighbors, who probably have the most impressive basement on the block after working with Chad and 10K Architecture, recommended we talk to them and we were impressed right away. They patiently listened to our needs, picked up on our style preferences by observing our home and talking with us, and they came up with great layouts with elegant and clever design elements for both spaces.

We first hired Quigley Architects in 2001 to design a traditional home located on the coast of Maine. That build went so well that when we wanted a new, modern home designed for us in Minneapolis in 2014, we hired Quigley again. This new house, completed in August 2015 is everything we wanted; beautiful, warm, friendly and a delight to live in. It integrates so well into our neighborhood of traditional homes that people knock on our door just to tell us how much they appreciate the design. Quigley Architects is everything you want in a custom architect; creative, collaborative and responsive. We listen to horror stories from others who have had custom builds and we experienced none of this. Quigley worked seamlessly with us and with the contractor.
