Berneche2 Architecture: we are a husband wife practice with the experience and technology to serve you like a bigger firm yet gives you the personalized design attention a smaller one can. The next time you can drive along the Lake Michigan South Shore check out the homes. We’ve designed fifteen of them in Long Beach Indiana and five in Southwest Michigan, nine right on the Lake Michigan Shore. We can bring the knowledge from those unique solutions to other project types such as our 15,000 sf Catholic Church meeting and fellowship center addition in Michigan City, Indiana; or the 11,000 sf retail complex with the clock tower on Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove, Illinois. Our philosophy is to partner with our clients, combining our talent and expertise with their wants, needs and ideas. We also strive to educate you about our process so you clearly understand what you are getting from us and why we make the suggestions and decisions we do. As a result, we create living and working environments that make people happy. If you're not sure you are ready to contact an architect, please go to our website and preview our DESIGN PROCESS. https://www.berneche2.com/the-design-process/ "We create the 'box' by THINKING OUTSIDE OF IT!"
We love showing people that their seemingly impossible ideas are possible. That we can guide them through the process with educational materials and a thorough description of the design process. We are excited to help our clients turn their ideas into spaces that are tailored specifically to their needs. Buildings and spaces that look like they belong in their environment, and we the occupants feel they belong.
I pride myself in carefully listing to our client's space needs and translating those into innovative design solutions that accomplish their mission. Working at other firms, I started to feel that the people I worked under had their own agenda in mind that didn't always regard the client's needs. While the architect may know more about how a building should be put together, it must still be done cognizant of the client's goals. My clients will always feel that their wishes are carried out in our designs.
1. We develop the optimal solution on what you want and how you live, designs you love and a value you like.
2. We believe in effective communication: graphically through 3d imagery and concise drawings, and verbally with clear explanation of concepts and methods.
3. We have the talent and expertise of a large firm and the flexibility, personal involvement, and value of a small firm.
4. We make you a well-informed client, so you clearly understand the value our concepts will give you.
5. We turn your dream into reality.
We can provide services remotely but prefer personally meeting. If we are renovating a project we physically want to see what we are working with, not just rely on photographs, drawings, and elements that focus on details. Observing the space in context is key.
We do more zoom meetings more to streamline time than because of Covid, but still it's safer for everyone. We are gradually moving back to normal mode but do things remotely where it's practical.
