Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?

Small businesses might be tempted into thinking that they don’t need an accountant, can’t afford one or that they’re just involved in filling in forms to keep the taxman happy. But, by doing all of the above well, a good accountant can:

Save you time – You need to dedicate every minute you can to the important work of developing your products and services to improve your profits. Having someone who can help to check that you’ve filled in your forms correctly, help you to meet key deadlines and offer financial advice will help you to concentrate your efforts on what you do best.

Save you money – Filling in forms incorrectly or failing to understand new legislation could result in a fine, something that would put an unwelcome dent in your profits. Not only that, but accountants will help you to minimise your tax bill by taking advantage of any legal benefits that are open to your business.

Help you to grow – An accountant can act as a valuable sounding board. He or she knows your business almost as well as you do – and probably knows the financial side of it even better. Objective input from someone that knows your business, but doesn’t have the emotional attachment to it that you do, is priceless. By assisting you to make sound judgments, they can help you to grow your business. Accountants can also help you to identify and fix problems before they become a more serious drain on your finances.

Remove worry – Lots of businesses find their finances daunting. After all, there’s a good chance that you might never have come across all of the paperwork and terminology of business accounts before. The complexity of the task in hand – and the importance of deadlines – can cause many people to worry about this. An accountant can ease this burden and offer necessary reassurance.

What do you love most about your job?

I enjoy interacting with different people and learning about their particular business and being able to help them improve their business by improving their bottom line.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Inspiration came from my family and friends. I would prepare my own tax returns annually and then as my siblings got older they would ask me to help with filing their returns. From there other family members (aunts, cousins, etc) starting asking me to help them and then they started telling their friends and co-workers. The list continued to grow and then it was those who had small business' seeking tax preparation and those small business' began seeking accounting, bookkeeping and payroll help from me...so I turned my passion to help people into my own business. I did this for several years while working for a public company until I could no longer do both...I left my job as an accountant and started my own Tax and Bookkeeping firm.

Why should our clients choose you?

I provide individual attention to each of my clients. They have me at their disposal at just about anytime. In addition to working remotely from my office on behalf of my clients I also travel to their offices and will work side by side with them and their staff when providing tax, accounting, or bookkeeping services.

In addition to those services I have made my self available to help clients with special projects that sometimes come up and are outside current scope but within my ability to provide the service.

Our dedication to our clients is driven by the three underlying principles of:

• PROFESSIONALISM
• RESPONSIVENESS AND
• QUALITY.

PROFESSIONALISM: By combining our expertise, experience and the energy of our staff, each client receives close personal and professional attention.

RESPONSIVENESS: Our firm is responsive. Tax filers and small business' who choose our firm rely on competent advice and fast, accurate personnel.

QUALITY: Our primary goal as a trusted advisor is to be available to provide insightful advice to enable our clients to make informed financial decisions. We do not accept anything less from ourselves and this is what we deliver to you.
