wow! Where can I even begin?! Steven & Rich are both absolutely amazing - the most friendliest, most hilarious, professional party animals ever! We were so lucky to have them both travel all the way from Bournemouth to our wedding in Southampton in August 2023!
Steven & Rich are not only amazing DJ’s, but their attention to detail is phenomenal. The build up to the big day included both of them asking about our colour scheme (so they could match with lights etc), our song choices and they even did a personalised song mix up for our first dance! When they found out we were having confetti cannons for this, Steven and Rich went out of their way to join in on the fun and spent their own money on ordering more cannons so they too could be involved - as well as handing more out to our guests! this went even better than I had imagined! Looking at the age profile of the audience is very important as younger people tend to like more chart/recent music whereas older age groups may prefer music from the 80's, 90's and 00's! To keep everyone happy I try to play a mixture of music from different era's and respond to what goes down well and what doesn't
I like to focus on the music I'm playing so I don't talk a great deal. I will play music from any genre, whether it be rock n' roll, hip hop, pop, Motown, or Rn'B.
I love playing music! I did my first gig when I was 17 years old. It was not my most successful night ever, however I started to learn more about having a wide choice of music and the importance of having reliable equipment. I love music of all types and in the space of a week I may do 3 events, for example, a 21st birthday, a Wedding and a Golden Wedding, where I don't play the same song twice and it gives me the opportunity to dig out the odd song I have not played for a year or so.
I ran my disco as a hobby for many years. It was only when I listened to the advice of my friends, that I decided to 'bite the bullet' and see if I could convert my hobby into a business. So far it has been an interesting experience, I have invested in a new PA and lighting rig and as long as I keep getting good feedback I know I'm going along the right track!
My determination to keep my audience up and dancing all night long, my willingness to play anything my audience want to hear, and my experience of playing music from across so many different era's.
