My family and I give Dani from It's Your Day Event a big 10. Why are we so satisfied? We contacted Dani Brown in 2012 for our son's graduation party at our restaurant. Dani did a fantastic job even with all that was taking place at the restaurant. She knew how to take control without disrupting the other clients dinning in our place. She kept the flow of pictures and also worked non-stop. She is professional, polite and WOW what a pleasure to work with. Well needless to say the quality of the pictures breathless. We were extremely thankful and blessed. Two important people in any event is your photographer and Disc Jockey. We picked the perfect photographer. So much so that we had another event which was very important to my sister and family. My niece was getting married. The minute we knew we needed a photographer no hesitation what so ever we contacted Dani Brown. Yes thank God she was available for the wedding date we set. My sister remembered the quality of work Ms. Brown had done for us so she was hired on the spot. Once again she was professional, on time, hard worker and the quality of work incredible. So now my son who she shot the pictures for his graduation is a Marine and he is now engaged. So who do I call for this special occasion in a mothers life Ms. Dani Brown. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Getting people to relax and be themselves. Also, being prepared and a master of your craft.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What questions don't we ask!?! Our goal is to really get to know our clients. We ask about what you want to get out of your photography, what we can do to help, if you know how you'd like to display or see your photos in the future.
What do you love most about your job?
When someone sees their finished images for the first time and they fall in love with that moment all over again.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I got a call on a not-so random Friday from a family friend. Nickie proceeds to tell me she is getting married in 8 days and is not happy with the photographer she originally hired. Would I be available a week from Saturday, and would I be willing to be her wedding photographer? The answer was YES! and the rest is history. I've always been behind a camera, and in 2009 I made it official by opening my photography business.
Why should our clients choose you?
Not only do we invest in top notch equipment, but we also invest in ourselves so that we can use our tools (cameras, flashes, etc.) to the best of our artistic ability. Having gear is only the first step. Knowing how to use it and making beautiful images is the final destination.
