At first I was a little leery when I went for my first consultation, I had all these questions in my mind and I was lucky to remember 1/2 of them. I felt like there were going very fast and one question led to another ..after I asked them to please slow down and explain it slower with more details, they were awesome and it felt like this procedure was too good to be true, however the change made me extremely happy, and I could't believe the results. Dr hearth is very experienced focus and a perfectionist, he like to get it just right..he's a miracle worker and 45 min later... its magic..., "abracadabra" much smoother and natural..!! He's Top Notch and it shows:-)) Natalie his right hand assistant is incredible an absolute doll. She was very patient with me, and I'm not an easy person especially with my 100 lbs doberman in the room, there were obstacles and worried about the pain, which she was very calming and assured me I would be fine. It was over before I Knew it and each jab got easier with the numbing cream. Dr. Hearth's very genial touch with years of experience you barely feel anything. They both make an amazing team and the out come is absolutely magic...You can't go wrong. Barbara the manager oversees the staff and takes care of all the details ..finance, points, rewards etc. Her staff is to die for ..very pleasant, everyone smiles and makes you feel welcomed, and complementative. I visited Bay Dermatology on my own without a physician refferal to get a skin exam done. The office staff initially seemed confused by my request but scheduled me for an exam. I filled out a packet of papers and was scheduled with an ARNP named Clarissa.Clarissa was very friendly and professional and made me feel at ease. I showed her a few moles I had and she decided to biopsy one by numbing the mole and cutting a small portion out (no blood, feels like a scrap after numbing wears off). A few days later staff called and said they wanted to remove it. They used terms I wasn't familiar with to explain why and scheduled my follow up. I returned to the office and the medical assistant told me I was going to be brought into the surgery room and my mole was going to be cut off via scalpel and then I was going to be stitched up. A few minutes later Clarissa came into the room and clearly explained everything to me and removed the rest of the mole via the same method she took the sample with (no laser, no blood). Although the medical assistant made my anxiety shoot through the roof Clarissa made my experience quick, easy and pain free. The medical assistant's incorrect statments only added to my overall impression of the office staff. I almost chose to go elsewhere while scheduling my first visit because I heard an employee yelling at someone on the phone saying "I've had enough of this" and "this is ridiculous, I've had it with you" I gave my info to schedule my first appointment while standing two inches from another patient waiting to leave after his appointment was over. The line backed up quickly at the back counter and the lady at the front (who is much faster) tries to compensate by trying to process patients leaving but that slows down patients coming into the lobby and the overall check in process.The office will text and call you to confirm appointments. I didn't wait at all my first appointment and waited 30 minutes past my scheduled time for my second appointment and both visits lasted max 15 minutes. I was routed to the brand's main office then voicemails when trying to get a hold of the office for pre appointment questions. I would reccomend Bay Dermatology for patients looking for a local dermatology practice although they're a franchise. I was asked if I wanted to see a doctor both times but I felt at ease and informed with the ARNP I saw. Clarissa's professionalism and friendly attitude and her performing a quick and painless procedure is why I'll return to Bay Dermatology. More...
