Annie Anderson has been working in the healing field since the early 90’s when she started her training in Reiki. She then certified in Therapeutic Touch and Hands on Healing, followed by Massage Therapy. In 2003 she returned to school to become a Paramedic. She has worked both on a ground ambulance, fixed wing and in helicopter response for nearly two decades. While doing that, she worked with wounded paramedics affected with PTSD while on the Critical Incident Peer Support Team and trained hundreds of Paramedics on the Road to Mental Readiness Program designed by the Dept of National Defense. In 2019 Annie returned to her Reiki roots and refreshed both her Reiki Level 1 & 2 as well as completed her Mastery Level and teacher certification. The Energy Medicine Clinic was then born! Additionally, she has also added to her healing modalities with the creation of Reiki Rings, Energy Earrings and Power Pendants. They are hand crafted by Annie in her Reiki area, with the intention to connect the user to their own higher healing powers and to give them a tangible reminder of that in times of stress, as well as times of gratitude. Next, she became an accredited Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner. It is often referred to as emotional acupuncture, without the needles. Furthermore, Annie also educated herself at Wilfrid Laurier University 2020, completing her certificate in Positive Psychology. Additionally, she has her certification as a HeartMath Practitioner. Annie is also currently training to be a Shaman. Currently, Annie is also currently enrolled at Quantum University in Honolulu to finish her Master’s degree and PhD in Natural Medicine.
I love the part of the session where the lightbulb comes on for the client. To know that the hours I have spent training and practicing my craft has allowed someone to release a blockage, is so rewarding. On return visits hearing clients share the changes they have noticed, or begun to implement in their lives, without resistance or pain, shows that what we do together is working.
I started my healing career with Reiki. I was very young at the time, and unaware of the powerful tool I had at the time. I went on to pursue traditional medical healing and have worked as an Advanced Care Paramedic for nearly 20 years on both ground ambulance, fixed wing planes and helicopters. I knew there were changes coming to our world, and I felt the nudge to go back to my original healing modalities. Finding another way to help people heal, without all the first hand trauma to me that I witnessed as a paramedic meant I could continue to help people, but in a different way.
I am committed to learning. I am currently pursuing my PhD to become a Doctor of Integrative and Natural Medicine. Allopathic (traditional Western) medicine has a huge place in our lives, and for good reason. It has saved my life on a number of occasions. Literally. I have the pacemaker and defibrillator to prove it. I also know, Energy medicine has also made an impact on my health in a way that pills and surgery couldn't. I am passionate about bringing them both together so that my clients are empowered to have other options they weren't aware of.
Clients who are able to see me in person, are welcome to do so. The benefit of both EFT and Reiki being energy medicine, is that they are also both very effective via distance as well. I have clients around the world that I work with via Zoom who are very happy with their results.
I offer Zoom appointments to any client who wishes to keep their time slot with me, but are nervous about leaving their home, or are under the weather, but still wish to attend. I also have a regular cleaning schedule using Melaleuca products and have masks and sanitizer for anyone who wishes to use them. I also have rescheduled any appointments that needed to be due to any feeling of unwell I experienced.
