We moved into our home last summer. Although we had some beautiful hydrangeas and other plants in the front yard, 90% of them were not native. I have been wanting to replace them with native plants, shrubs, and flowers for a long time to help our local pollinators, but always felt daunted by the task since I'm new at gardening and just learning about native planting. I stumbled across Habitat Blooms work in a Facebook group and was really impressed. I don't believe there's any other company in the GTA who specializes in making pollinator friendly gardens.
The design process was quick, fun, and stress-free. Chris has a real depth of knowledge when it comes to choosing plants that work in your space, designing the garden, and long-term maintenance/care of the plants. He really values your input as a client as well. Chris chose a list of suitable shrubs, and plants based on what kind of pollinators & animals we wanted to attract and the colours we like and he included a description of each plant + photos of what they look like. Then we had the final say of which ones we wanted. He then sketched out the design for final approval, which was perfect and didn't really need any changes. He's super easygoing and fun to work with. The actual installation itself was a breeze.
We can't wait to see all the shrubs and plants grow and mature. The bees, butterflies, and birds will also be happy. Will update this review with another photo once that happens.
