Hi there, I'm Chris Diaconu, and at Dog Genius, I believe that every dog is capable of being a genius with the right training. As a seasoned dog trainer, I've spent years perfecting methods that help you and your dog build a lasting, positive relationship. Whether we're starting with basic commands, tackling unwanted behaviors, or even addressing more complex issues like reactivity or aggression, I'm here to help.

My husband and I are very grateful for Chris' work with our 4-year-old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie. Before we found the Dog Genius, we struggled severely with excessive barking, lack of recall and general obedience. Chris taught us so much and answered every question we had. In eight sessions, we now have a dog that we can confidently take anywhere, walk off leash and curb his reactive behaviours (barking, lunging, etc.). The Dog Genius was definitely money well-spent, and we would recommend Chris to anyone!

My job is to help dog owners change their unbalanced, misbehaving dogs, into respectful balanced dogs, that they are proud to own. Balance means the hierarchy of your pack is clearly in order and your dog looks up to you as being higher on the totem pole, or Leader Ladder, as I call it. A balanced dog will respect, obey, serve and trust you as leader of the pack, or alpha. I teach dog psychology to humans.

We trained my mum's dog here after we were impressed by our neighbours' dog who was training at scholars. We since moved to Missisauga but when I got my own dog it was absolutely the only place I would consider training, it is well worth the drive. This is positive behaviorally based lessons that makes it fun to train and bond with your dog. Amaze friends and relatives!I was surprised how the lessons were updated and slightly changed from the last time I went three years ago. They really keep up on the best methods and have always been amazing support. At Scholars they teach you how to train a dog in any situation and set you up for success throughout the dogs lifetime. I've taken both dogs through all three levels and will continue with this school as long as I have dogs.
