Andrew Kinakin with Kinakin Entertainment - where do I begin... I had a personal connection with Andrew, as we were high school friends, so the initial decision was easy; however, he went above and beyond for us. We met with Andrew to chat about wedding details and he instantly made us feel excited and at ease. We left the meeting and my husband and I knew we were in the best hands. He’s an absolute magician with his work (literally and figuratively). We had an outdoor ceremony and Andrew made sure everything was perfect sound wise. It was supposed to pour rain all day, and he assured us he had a plan. He came out Friday to set-up so he could run through our ceremony music with us. He set-up in the perfect spot at our venue, and everything went so smooth. He played music through our cocktail hour, as well as our dinner and we heard great reviews from our guests about the music choices. He set up a projector and even gave the other vendors shoutouts by adding their logo to his projector(we had sask dog rescue bartend and he put up their logo when the MCs announced them). He lead the night with ease, especially when the dance started. He felt the vibes of our group and played exactly what worked (we weren’t picky and that’s what worked best, as he’s the expert). I can’t even explain how incredible the lights, set-up, and music combined were. He played until 1:30am, as our crowd kept wanting more music. If people are dancing, he’ll keep playing! His professionalism, passion for his work, and friendliness is why you should book Kinakin Entertainment. He’s absolutely amazing!

We hired In The Mix to DJ our wedding and could not be more pleased! Connor was organized, helpful and and incorporated our requests into our evening. While listening to the crowd, he honoured the vibe we wanted and the eclectic songs we insisted on. We gave little direction and were thrilled with the energy Connor brought to our wedding. Highly recommend!

Create Surprises:
Drop unexpected remixes or mashups to keep things interesting.
Use special effects like beat drops, sound effects, or acapella breaks to surprise and excite the crowd.
Interact with the Audience:
Use the microphone to engage the crowd, encouraging them to dance and participate.
Respond to song requests and shout-outs, making guests feel involved.
Vary the Genres:
Mix up different genres to cater to diverse tastes.
Include a variety of music styles such as pop, hip-hop, EDM, and throwbacks.
Plan Your Set:
Have a flexible set list with room for improvisation.
Be prepared with backup tracks in case the crowd's mood shifts.
Maintain High Energy:
Keep the energy levels high by avoiding slow or downbeat songs during peak hours.
Use hype tracks and anthems to maintain a lively atmosphere.
