What do you love most about your job?
As an HR consultant I love working with a variety of clients on their unique needs. HR is such a critical aspect of company growth and I know all too well how many details there are to keep track of when managing the people side of business. Being able to take some of that off leaderships plate and co-creating with them a future where the business and its core people thrive is what gets me up in the morning.
As a coach, it is truly a privilege to work with clients to help them uncover their own solutions. Humans have so much more capacity to problem solve than they are aware of and it brings me joy to help them unclog their paths to solution finding.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After 20 years as an HR leader I wanted to have a wider impact by working with multiple clients versus one organization. Small business owners have so much passion for what they do, and helping them create workplaces where their employees can thrive is exciting.
Though there is much opportunity to coach within an organization, you remain tied to your role and you share the same context. I enjoy the process more when I can be truly neutral and let the client define their experience.

I have loads of experience and am continuously upskilling to stay on top of best practice. Most of all, my secret weapon is finding practical solutions that work for the unique context of each business or individual. I understand the intersection of science and art in both HR and coaching, bring creative approaches grounded in theory. My biggest priority in all settings is to come to the client with humility and curiousity about their challenges.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Not sure this applies as much these days but I will be honest if I think we need to reschedule or move to a virtual option if health is in question.
