Mike is by far the best personal trainer I have ever worked with. I have been a member of so many different gyms over the last 15 years, and always felt like I could manage my weight well on my own by going to group fitness classes or running. However, after having my second child, I noticed that I was having a much harder time than ever getting the weight back off with my usual workout routines and healthy eating plan. I was tired of feeling sluggish, stressed and weak, and I wanted to do something that would make me feel strong and give me my confidence back.I did a lot of research to find a trainer that would help me out of my rut, and I chose Mike over other trainers in the area because he does so many things right. First, he is a good person. Nothing feels better than to support a small, family-owned business and someone who works their tail off everyday to help others. Anyone who steps foot in Mike’s gym feels like they are part of something bigger. He is a family man, and his wife also makes the entire experience so much better. As a female, having that female energy in the gym is empowering and puts you at ease. I also love that they make it a family affair, and children are always welcome. Nothing about this place feels “gimmicky,” which not a lot of gyms can say.While Mike is a lot of fun, he’s also serious about what he does. He has a level of expertise that really shows, and every move and exercise has a specific purpose. I tend to get bored easily in the gym, but every single session Mike is able to switch things up and challenge me to where I always feel like my body is making big changes. I have never left his gym feeling anything less than exhausted, yet so much physically stronger.I was really impressed after my very first meeting with Mike - he does an entire assessment, taking into account your specific goals and taking measurements to show progress. He also gives you some really good guidelines on how to tweak your diet to see some big changes. Diet was never something I had to get strict about before, but Mike assured me that it would take my gains in the gym to the next level, and he was right. After only 2 months, I was so pleased to see the pounds come off, but most importantly - that I was getting stronger each week.I have never felt stronger and more confident than I do now after training with Mike for more than a year and participating in all of the great classes the gym has to offer. Mike is an incredible trainer who truly cares about his clients, as evidenced by his friendly motivational check-ins, and by making a point to get all of his athletes together and creating a community that people want to be part of. I LOVE 4E! Started coming here almost a year ago because working out was boring and I always wanted to try pole dancing... One class with Luki Martino and I was hooked (and sore... but it gets better!). I had NO experience and even less strength but it has been amazing to see my body transform and be able to see the crazy upside-down stuff I can do now that I never imagined would be possible. Cute little studio downtown, so it's awesome for getting drinks/dinner after a hard class! Great place to laugh, play and grow as an aerialist -- I'm so glad I took a chance and came to Four Elements because now it's my home-away-from-home and I can't imagine my life without 4E in it.
