Based in Macungie, Pennsylvania, Master Sound Experience is a wedding DJ business featuring the professional sounds of Jose Rodriguez. Jose’s performing experience began in 1979 when he and a friend started DJing at local clubs and high school events. At the time, they produced hip-hop and disco mixtapes for WKTU radio, where they shared their passion for music with everyone in New York. High-quality equipment and creative mixing skills are the bedrock of this entertainment company, ensuring seamless sounds and dance floor fuel. Couples are sure to appreciate this company’s commitment to excellence and an extensive repertoire of genres, playing rock, pop, country, and top 40 music.
You have to able to read the crowd's vibe when playing music. If people start siting down with what you are playing, you need to switch up the music to get them on the dance floor. Even before that, you need to know what kind of music your targeted audience dances to by asking the person who hires you the age group and genre of music they wish.
I am considered a 'Mixologist' in regards to style, which means, I transition the music from one to another instead of waiting for a song to end and just starting the other. It keeps the party going instead of breaking up the mood.
I love to see people having fun and enjoying themselves on the dance floor because they hear a song they like or just the fact that my sound system is so powerful and clear due to the high quality equipment that I use, compare to others, that it's just a new experience to them in partying.
I have been dejaying for over 20 years, and this includes wedding, sweet 16's, clubs in NYC, people running for office, hip-hop movies and school events and proms. I have attended electronics school and have a background with professional audio equipment setup, build and repair. I stopped for long time to start a family and become a computer engineer/architect, but COVID gave me an opportunity to start my business up again.
One of the things I have noticed from attending weddings and other parties recently is that the DJ's today basically play music they like regardless of what the targeted crowd likes. Also, they don't invest much money into their equipment and use inferior brands whose sound quality does not allow the crowd to 'feel' the music (with powerful bass, for instance). I have invested tens of thousands of dollars in my equipment guaranteeing an exceptional party experience.
I have not delved yet into that arena, but given my professional background in computers (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), I'm sure I can set that up fairly quickly.
I am inoculated (2 first required shots and 2 additional booster shots) from COVID and also practice social distancing rules. I also use disposable microphone wind screens for my microphones when used by party participants during announcements.
