‘19 Certificate of Excellence

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I’ve had to restructure the way I work. The country is facing a financial meltdown and everyone's finances are going to be hard-hit, so I'm introducing really flexible and easy to remember wedding packages. If you'd like to request a brochure with prices I will be only too glad to email it to you. I've been a photographer pretty well most of my working life, in the 90s I became allergic to the photographic chemicals so I had to give up being a photographer. I managed a photographic store in Birmingham but I found retail stifled my creativity. At that time I needed a challenging and creative outlet for myself. I became a corporate entertainer, I worked for Wrigley’s, Virgin, McDonalds, Peugeot, Toyota, Emirates and many more blue chip companies. I did this for a number of years and I worked all over the world. The introduction of the digital SLR camera was a godsend as it meant I could return to what I loved the most, photography, and I specialise in wedding photography. Having the experience of being a corporate entertainer it allowed me to bring an entertaining element to my wedding photography. I love to create a party atmosphere where my clients can relax, have a laugh with me and not even realise I'm taking their photograph. My photographs are very natural, I like to take a journalistic approach to wedding photography. I can do many other styles if requested.

What do you love most about your job?

I am very passionate about my work: being invited to take part in a couple’s wedding is an enormous honour, I’m always conscious of the significance of your, wedding day. The great responsibility I bear for ensuring that my photographs truly capture the happiness, excitement and the true meaning of the ceremony, and the celebrations that follow. Planning a wedding can be a very stressful undertaking, on the wedding day itself you’ll probably be, quite nervous. So I consider it an important part of my job to ease the stress and pressure, making sure that photography is not something you need to worry about.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Feedback from friends, family and Mr Healey who was a customer of the photographers I was working for at the time. He told me about, the Government scheme helping people start their own businesses. I apply for a loan. And within a month I was buying equipment for my new photographic business. My dream job had become a reality! When I look back over my career, I have never once regretted my decision to be a self-employed wedding photographer. Now I get up in the morning with a smile on my face, looking forward to the challenges ahead.

I’ve shot hundreds of weddings in 25 years. I have accumulated vast knowledge and experience to help you through, your wedding day stress-free!
