I bake a wide range of sponge flavours as well as rich fruit cakes, cupcakes, brownies etc., and also offer gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options. My wedding cake designs range from very simply decorated styles and 'naked' cakes, to those with handmade sugar-paste flower cascades or bespoke figures.

Jo's gluten free cakes are unbelievable, over 8 years of being gluten free, I've never tasted cake so amazing.
I can't talk highly enough of Jo's creations. For my wedding cake, we had 3 tiers of different flavours and had a Caribbean theme with a bespoke cake topper and it was hugely enjoyed by everyone. Coeliacs were stunned and non GF people couldn't tell the difference! Something which is very rare in my experience.

He is a huge Harry potter fan and asked for the monster book of monsters (which you can't buy in a shop) Katie did an amazing job and it tasted amazing as well as feeding alot of people! As cringey as it sounds; I have always said that "cake is my calling"! I remember at the age of 14, my Business Studies teacher asked our class "Who would like to be their own boss when they 'grow up'?" - and my hand shot straight up. At that point, Bakehouse was just 'the dream' - but in 2017, my incredibly supportive family finally gave me the push I needed to just bite the bullet and go for it; my dream has somehow become my reality and for that I am, aside from completely stunned..., incredibly grateful.
I like to work closely with each of my individual clients with a warm, friendly approach, so that I always feel I've done my best to truly fulfill each specific brief. I can almost guarantee that no matter what your request is - I will be equally (if not even more) excited about your cake than you will be - because I am that passionate about my job, and about making my clients faces beam when they come to collect their creations!
Flavour and sponge-quality is something that can sometimes be overlooked by other bespoke and novelty cake companies; but at Bakehouse, we believe that if a cake doesn't taste just as good as it looks - it's not worth being a cake at all - so you can always rely on us to make the flavour just as important as the design.
