I love what I do and am able to create beautiful cakes. There is something very satisfying in bringing a design together and seeing the finished cake.
As a child I loved to bake with my Mum every week and I have also enjoyed passing on my love of baking to my own daughter. Several years ago, I took a cake decorating class at my local college and so started my hobby in cake decoration. I subsequently made my nieces 3 tier wedding cake, which she wanted adorned with cascading sugar roses. There started my fascination with making sugar flowers! More recently I have taken further courses in making sugar flowers including one by the super talented cake designer Suzanne Esper.
I decided to turn my hobby into a business last year and so began ‘The Pretty Sweet Cake Company.’
It is important to me that your cake tastes as good as it looks. Who wants an amazing looking cake that tastes bland and sticks dry crumbs to the roof of your mouth? My style is elegant and refined.
