We specialise in open-source spray foam insulation in partnership with the largest spray foam insulation installers in the UK. Q: Why is Spray Foam Insulation Better than Traditional Insulation? a) Spray foam insulation is the perfect alternative to traditional insulation methods such as fibreglass or cellulose. Icynene spray foam insulation reduces heat loss through your roof by up to 50% and stops air from passing through your home, whereas fibreglass and cellulose, allow the air to pass through, and only slows down heat loss. b) Spray foam insulation expands up to 100 times its original size to fill every crack and corner of your home for superior thermal insulation and air sealing compared to fibreglass which cannot fill all the spaces and gaps, which results in enough air leakage every day to fill two blimps! c) Spray foam insulation lasts the lifetime of your home and comes with a 25-year manufacturers warranty, whereas fibreglass needs an upgrade every 5 – 10 years. d) Spray foams air sealing qualities help reduce the amount of dust, allergens and pollutants entering your home, in comparison to fibreglass which allows allergens and pollutants to enter your home, these can trigger allergies as well as respiratory issues. e) Icynene spray foam insulation contains no harmful chemicals, whereas most fibreglass contains formaldehyde and may emit formaldehyde fumes into your home. Q: Will Spray Foam Insulation Rot My Timbers? a) No. Our open-celled foam is breathable, when applied to any surface it allows any moisture present to dry out through evaporation, this is important as timber and masonry surfaces need to breathe to ensure that no damp or rot problems are caused. b) The horror stories come from polyurethane closed-cell foam, which should NEVER BE USED FOR HOME INSULATION. However, if your timbers are already damp or have some form of rot or woodworm they should be treated and dried first. Q: How long does it take to install? a) The foam expands 100 times in 4-12 seconds after being applied. With proper ventilation, you can use the room 24 hours or less after installing. As it is a water-blown product, there will be no unusual smells remained after installation. The majority of home installations can be completed within a day, however bigger projects such as commercial installs can take longer. Your insulation surveyor can give you an accurate representation of what timescales you can expect. N.B - As we have been in the spray foam insulation market for a while we are aware of what all competitors charge per square metre. We believe that our surveys are thorough, and our quotations are fair. We don't drive Porches or sit in expensive offices. We believe that by keeping our prices as low as possible we can maximise the number of households installing spray foam insulation to reduce their energy bills and cut their carbon footprint. Five years ago we set up our business to raise as many households out of fuel poverty and cold home-related health issues as possible. We believe we can make a difference by installing the best energy efficient and insulation measures to cut large fuel bills and working towards affordable energy provision. - Affordable heating systems - Warm and comfortable homes - Sustainable energy provision - Reducing cold home-related illnesses Poor Energy Efficiency We aim to specifically target those homes with the poorest home energy efficiency ratings. Whole Of Market We work with a wide range of renewable energy and home insulation installers. Best Measures Available We will find the most appropriate measures to suit the individual household. Trustmark Installers We will only work with installers registered under Trustmark; the government standard. Reduce Energy Bills Our ultimate aims are to cut the cost of keeping households warm and reducing health-related issues.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping households to reduce their energy bills and rise out of fuel poverty.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Listening to a radio phone-in where people were calling in to relay stories of friends, family or personal stories of why they were afraid to put the heating on.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because not only do we know practically everything about renewable energy and insulation, but to be completely honest? Our motivation is to help households cut their energy bills. In order to achieve this, we deliberately keep our operating costs low so that we can pass on those savings to our clients.

We also run our business ethically, transparently, and honestly. We will never spend hours trying to pressure homeowners into buying something that they cannot afford. We'd rather suggest that they choose heating and insulation measures that take into account their overall affordability.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
