This female-led counselling practice is committed to helping individuals, couples and families overcome their personal struggles and achieve lasting positive change so you can live the life you truly deserve.   Individual Sessions use a range of therapy types, including guided self-reflection along with somatic healing, to empower you to break free from unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour. Our collaborative work will support you to release old emotions that may be stuck in the body, so that you can feel calmer, lighter, more energised and ready to step into the life you deserve.  You will learn how to build your ability to self-regulate, which will lead you to a greater sense of clarity and freedom in your life, so you can live authentically and on purpose. In Relationship and family Counselling, I support you to rebuild the channels of communication and connection by offering a safe and neutral space for each person to be heard and understood. I facilitate the dialogue to allow you to explore feelings and reflect on the relationship and interaction patterns. Our work together can help you resolve past relationship conflict, trauma or loss, and help you to understand the dynamics of your relationship so you have the power to make positive lasting changes. Appointments are available online to clients in the U.K. and Internationally.  In-person sessions are held in Standish, Wigan, North West England. What do you love most about your job?

There’s so much I love about being a therapist. High on the list would be the fact I love being around people who are willing to drop their guard and be real and authentic. Supporting people who are willing to get vulnerable in order to work on changing things in their life, working on their problems, or healing from trauma is as real as it gets. I feel comfortable and relaxed with in depth conversations and the opportunity to connect with people on that level always feels like a privilege.

Furthermore, I love being a part of something positive. When someone wants to improve, heal, change, or learn more about themselves, it feels like a pleasure to be a part of that process. Even when sessions are about things that can’t be ‘improved’ in a traditional sense, such as divorce or uncoupling, I enjoy supporting clients to do so in as healthy way as possible to allow people to heal and move forward with their lives more quickly and peacefully.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My own journey on the road through heartache, trauma and loss has lead me to becoming a therapist. Having done a lot of my own, and continual personal development, I know you can only take clients as far as you’re willing to go yourself, so I bring a huge amount of compassion, empathy and understanding to sessions. I love being able to give back and support those also wanting to improve their own lives and situations.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have both learned experience, and lived experience, which allows me to provide a warm, non-judgmental space for you to be yourself, and speak freely without constraint. I have also sat on the other side of the therapist’s chair when I needed support, so I know the amount of courage, bravery, and strength it takes to come to therapy and look within. I have a huge admiration and respect for my clients, as well as a genuine wish to see them move from struggle to freedom within themselves and their relationships.
