My lessons are fun and tailored to my students' interests. There is a world of music out there and it's important to explore it in the learning process. I travel to my students' houses rather than teaching from a studio, and highlight the importance of daily piano practice to maximise students' potential. I also encourage regular performance to help students become accustomed to playing in front of an audience.

Hello! Our GMS Tutors have 20 combined years of teaching experience and have learned a thing or two about what works along the way. We’ve taught privately, through an agency, online, in person and in schools. We’ve taken students through structured grades or taught them all they need to know about chords and jazz patterns to be great buskers. You name it, we’ve probably done it - but our biggest take away is that things work better with the student as a priority!

Ieva is a great piano teacher. She has been my child's piano teacher for the past 2 years and a half. Our daughter had never played a musical instrument before and the progress that she made with Ieva as a teacher far exceeded any expectations.
Ieva was able to impart her enthusiasm and love of playing the piano onto my daughter. My daughter enjoyed taking lessons with her from the very beginning, connecting with her consistently positive approach. Ieva is also a patient teacher and her commitment to my daughter is evident. She is very proud of my daughter’s progress too and show a real interest on her music progression. My daughter gained a distinction in her last grade which is a great achievement!
I highly recommend Ieva as a music teacher for any adult or child who wishes to learn piano.

My daughters who have never learnt a musical instrument in their lives after only 4 months can happily play tunes on their guitars and piano. This is due to the teaching staff being inspirational and also having years of teaching experience and knowing how to get the best out of each child. Great value for money too

Natalia was a student at Royal Academy of Music in London. For last 16 years she has been a chorister at Glyndebourne Opera House. She is as well enjoying her involvement in teaching piano. Natalia graduated with distinction in vocal and piano studies and from the Music Academy in Lodz (Poland) before coming to the UK in 2006 to take up postgraduate studies with Anne Howells and Mary Hill at RAM.

Natalia is an excellent piano instructor. I highly recommend. She is knowledgeable, patient, warm and has an infinite amount of tips up her sleeve. She is attentive to detail. Through focusing on the proper technique she ensures the student executes each piece with all its nuances from accurate articulation, vibrant dynamics to all other elements of music. Beyond her undoubtful professionalism, she is fun to be around and kids absolutely love to spend time with her making music, chatting and often giggling. They make progress and clearly enjoy their learning journey. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you Natalia.

I'm a piano teacher of 30 years standing. I teach both Classical and Jazz Piano - Practical & Theory. I teach all ages, from small children to the elderly. People with disabilities are especially welcome. Can prepare you for grade examinations or just teach for enjoyment. I teach from my piano room at home. My rates are £30 an hour, £20 for 30 minutes and £25 for 45 minutes.
Freelance Piano Tuition adapted for social distancing (offering lessons over Zoom or WhatsApp) or in person when the time comes. Covering beginners to more advanced levels of piano tuition and music theory.
My biggest passion for piano teaching comes from people achieving their own specific needs from playing the piano. Some people want to pass grades, others want to be able to sit at a piano and just play something that sounds half decent. There's a moment where things just click, and start to fall in to place; where the logic and thought become secondary to the sound and music being produced by the instrument. And that feeling in that moment for both the student and myself is second to none. It's a real sense of achievement and accomplishment. My goal for piano teaching has also been to inspire students to reach their own tailored individual goals, whatever they my be.
My full time job is not in music. I'm a commercial pilot who used to train a handful of students in my spare time. Now that I have a small career break (due to Covid 19), I thought this is the best time to try and get more people to achieve what my existing piano students have done in my past few years of teaching.
Most of my previous students had only started off on a temporary basis but have decided to stay with me. Most of my students now come from word of mouth where existing students have said various things to friends etc. In my opinion, I have a really relaxed approach to piano teaching, with an underlying ethos that you as an individual will get out exactly what you put in. I can definitely steer things in a direction and try and get you to use your time optimally, but ultimately it's down to the individual to want to improve. Therefore, my job is also to navigate the specific drives for the individual and their relationship with the piano. Once this is identified I can focus on maintaining and giving passion to that specific drive for the individual.
