Before I turned my passion into my career I studied and worked for 5 years in Marketing. This helps me especially when it comes to more commercial projects that I shoot. I hold a Masters degree in photography from the university of the arts in London and have been working with many different clients in the U.

London-based Roman Scott is an up and coming photographer, capturing moments of authenticity that flourish with fresh energy. He has a deft touch at making people comfortable on the other side of the lens and brings an uplifting spirit to the shoot. Taking inspiration from old film shoots this gives his work a raw, analog feel. However, shooting everything digital means that what ever the client needs he can deliver.
Sophie Lee
I’ve worked with photographers before, but few made me feel as comfortable as Roman did, from the moment we started the shoot things flowed really naturally, he’s very reassuring which he helped fill me with confidence during the shoot. Great photography, would highly recommend him to anyone in need of headshots!

Opinions begin to form and judgements start from the moment someone looks at a portrait photograph or head shot. It might not be fair but it is human nature. If you are ‘the business’ it’s especially important that you look ‘the business’, which means a picture portraying your authority and professionalism but looking approachable and friendly. The author’s portrait photograph on a blog also has to give the reader a chance to begin their ‘engagement’.

Professional photographer shooting people, products, events for commercial, private and editorial clients locally and nationwide.
London based commercial and editorial photographer working with development and human rights organisations, government departments, commercial bodies and private clients. 25 years experience working in 100+ countries, published internationally and exhibited in the UK and European Parliaments, The Hague, St Paul's Cathedral, The World Bank in Washington, American Museum of Natural History in New York and the Natural History Museum in London. Verifiable track record of producing engaging ethical photography whilst representing clients positively almost anywhere in the world.
For my type of people-focused photography, the secret to taking a great photograph is a shared belief that the project being worked on has genuine value. It's important that the photographer, the client and particularly the person or people being photographed understand the purpose of the photography and the value it brings. When everybody believes in what is trying to be achieved, the results are always good. Without that collaborative spirit, people-focused photography rarely works.
What is the true purpose of the photography, what is the client trying to achieve. For me, professional photography must have a genuine purpose or it's simply a series of snapshots that anybody can take - and for a lot less money.
I love to get under the skin (in a positive way) of a person, a family, a business or a community in order to tell their story. There is nothing better than a client recognising the delivered material as being an authentic and engaging body of work with a lasting value.
I left school struggling to write, so taking pictures became a lifeline, empowering me to communicate - and work - on my own terms. This led to a fascination with the often hidden struggles of others and a desire to make these challenges visible. It was this deep interest in people and their stories that opened my world as a professional photographer, and which has served me well over the past 25+ years.
I am deeply committed to my work and have a strong belief in the power of the still image to capture and convey the human spirit in a timeless way.
No, it is not possible to offer an effective service online or remotely - other than of course to discuss potential work, and to deliver completed work.
To be honest, it's been very difficult to offer any kind of meaningful service during the Covid-19 pandemic. So unless the work has been pandemic-related, I've not taken on the assignment. Hopefully this will change very soon.
