Choosing your Oven Cleaning Specialist

How much does an Oven Cleaner cost?

The average cost of an oven cleaner depends on the size and condition of the oven.

Your professional oven cleaner will be able to advise you on the full range of options available, including what is most suitable for your requirements. Use Bark to get free quotes and get in touch with local oven cleaners today.

How long will it take for my oven to be professionally cleaned?

It takes on average two hours to clean an oven, depending on the size. Cleaners should use non-toxic and biodegradable products, so you should be able to use your oven straight away.

How do I choose the best Oven Cleaner?

There are a few ways that you can narrow down your options:

  • Money-back guarantee - It is always a good idea to ask any company you are considering using what their policy is if you are unhappy with the work they have undertaken for you. For example, do they come back and rectify things you are not happy with, and if they are unable to resolve the issue is there a refund policy?

  • Vetting - You want to check if the professional is fully vetted and DBS checked. This prevents unsuitable people from working near and around vulnerable groups, including children.

  • Professionally trained - Check to see if your oven cleaner is professionally trained. If they don’t have the necessary experience, they could cause damage to your appliance.

  • Membership body - If you have a problem with the service you have received and feel you have been treated unfairly, you should be able to go to their professional body which can mediate between you and the company in question.

  • Cleaning methods - Not all cleaning companies use the same methods. It's always a good idea to ask about each company’s cleaning process so that you can make a proper comparison between different professionals.

  • Customer feedback - Before hiring a cleaning service, make sure you read their reviews and ratings found on their website or Bark profile.

  • Experience - Find out how long your cleaning professional has been in business, as someone with many years of experience should know how to complete a high-quality job.

You can be confident that any of the Bark local oven cleaners listed will give you a reliable and professional service.

How often should an oven be professionally cleaned?

If you use your oven regularly, it is recommended to have it cleaned every three to six months. Keeping on top of cleaning prevents grime from building up and getting out of control. It’s always a good idea to hire an oven cleaner every time you move house, as it could have been a while since your new oven was last cleaned.

How do I check my Oven Cleaning Specialist’s credentials?

Look out for oven cleaning professionals who have completed courses such as the CPD Oven Cleaning Certificate. You should also look to see if they hold membership in The Association of Approved Oven Cleaners.

Before you choose an oven cleaner, check out their website or Bark profile to read customer reviews and testimonials.

How do Oven Cleaning Specialists clean an oven?

Oven cleaners commonly use a method called dip tank cleaning. They start with dismantling the oven door and racks before soaking them in hot water and cleaning detergent. The interior of the oven is thoroughly degreased, cleaned, and wiped. To keep your kitchen and floors clean during the process, they use large covers or stain steel protectors.

They also use special techniques to remove grease and other residue found in the compartments of your oven. After this, they carry out a deep clean of internal and external surfaces, including protective covers and glass covers, before replacing the parts.

Finally, your oven cleaner will test to see if your oven is working properly.

I’m so happy with what Scouse Maids have done to my late dads flat, deep cleaned it all and boxed/bagged every thing. It looks fantastic and am so pleased. Many thanks!

Mihail is brilliant. He was prompt, efficient, and worked a miracle. I had not believed it possible to clean the oven - he returned it to looking completely new. Amazing service, and very good value. Strongly recommended.
