Mythos Coaching

I am a Certified Martha Beck Wayfinder Life Coach. More commonly known as 'Oprah Winfrey's Life coach', Martha's signature style involves helping people get back in touch with their true nature, you know the person you were before life 'got' to you. I hold a BSc in Physiology & Pharmacology, an MSc in Public Health and a PGCert in Psychoanalytic studies and I work in the field of neuroscience as well as being a trained and certified life coach therefore my coaching approach is a blend of science and spirituality. I also infuse other influences from Non-violent communication and Jungian approaches as I see appropriate. The tools I use are powerful and universal and can be applied to almost any context however there are specific topics that I find my clients most often experience and those are the following: - Finding your voice, empowering yourself and getting past imposter syndrome - Refining the options that are available to you and help with decision making - Help with communication skills, how to have difficult conversations based on an approach rooted in empathy - Help with how to lead a more joyful life - Exploring limiting beliefs that might be holding you back from achieving your goals - Building an explorer mindset, help getting past fears so that fear is no longer holding you back - Moving past resistance blocks - Healthy habit building - Boundary setting - Help with how to build a healthy approach to alcohol intake or to how to socialize and thrive in the absence of alcohol. - Building a strong sense of self to help with building healthy love, romance and relationships. - Dreaming and scheming - helping vocalize and forming a plan for what you want to manifest. - Dream analysis (Jungian approach).

What do you love most about your job?

Nothing brings me more joy than talking to people about their lives and holding space for clients to explore the issues that are of the most importance for them. I truly believe that we are all the experts in our own lives and therefore you will have the solution to your own problems. We just all need a little help sometimes to be asked the right questions and provided with the right environment in which to explore these issues.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Coming from a strongly scientific background I hold a BSc in Pharmacology & Physiology and an MSc in Public Health and spent 15 years working as a scientist in the Biotech industry. I began pursuing a second Masters in Psychoanalytic studies in 2020 which then prompted me to explore more humanities-based and people-related disciplines.

I started my coach training with Martha Beck (Oprah Winfrey's Life coach!) in early 2021. After getting almost 75% of the way through the course, my own life fell to pieces and so I had to withdraw from the program to get things in order and I restarted the course from scratch later that year. The benefit, as I see it is I have now been through a robust coaching program - twice! I believe I am a much better coach as a result. I started my business in 2022 to provide coaching services to the general public and have worked with a range of clients since the onset of my training.

I believe the mix I have of science and humanities background allows me a unique angle with which to approach coaching. I am able to track very complex trains of thought and concisely summarize the key points. I am also able to understand the complexities of working within a variety of organizations and have worked with clients from entry-level up to more senior executive-level positions. Whatever your circumstance I will seek to understand your unique situation and meet you where you are at.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have a proven track record of being able to listen deeply to my clients and track their (sometimes complex) trains of thought, pick out the most important parts and reflect those back to the client. I will ask powerful questions to elicit deep reflections on the topics that are most important for you. I will help you think about the consequences of taking action and also the consequences of not taking action. I can help you articulate and define the options that are available to you.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I currently only offer services remotely over Zoom, Google Meet or even WhatsApp. The benefit of this is my services are significantly cheaper than they would be in person due to reduced overheads and I can work with anyone anywhere in the world.
