Solicitors to provide a one stop shop of HR services OUR SERVICES 1. HR Support In addition to the provision of Contracts of Employment and Staff Handbook, our retainer packages include access to HR advice to proactively guide you through day to day personnel concerns and problems, providing for a more confident and effective style of management in your workplace. The Built-in HR Support Service contains the following:- i. A phone line and email HR advisory service. Our Advice Line is available for yourself and your managers. Telephone and email advice will be provided by Catherine Kane. Examples - discuss potential problems, planning ahead (examples could include discussing appraisals – possibly a revised system, setting realistic performance targets and standards for staff), coaching through the employment legislation, offering alternative suggestions and helping you stay in control of resource costs. ii. We conduct a year-end people cost review of the key HR processes (Recruitment, Absence, and Performance). iii. We will become familiar with your operating practices and employment documentation. iv. In addition to providing Practical Advice Catherine Kane will also support you with various elements of documentation required, e.g. we will have a large range of template letters, to assist with the more routine circumstances or will help in the creation of bespoke documentation to address specific or more complex situations. v. When you feel that you need onsite assistance, an appointment can be arranged. 2. HR by hr™ The HR by hr™ Service - Our Pay-As-You-Go HR Support, is great for the one off issues that requires a quick fire/short term fix. Having no regular monthly commitment, you only pay for the hours when you need them. Issues that could be used for this service include:- Advice on a disciplinary process, How to handle a difficult conversation with an employee, Specific wording for a letter, Onsite assistance, Year-end people cost review Interpreting legislation Should you not use the hours, you can save them for another time. 3. Legislative Updates Should your business need, or the various pieces of employment legislation change, we are committed to updating your documentation. Indemnity Insurance Legal fees can build up and some of our clients opt for an optional indemnity scheme which protects against Employment Tribunal compensation awards in most cases and out of court settlements, witness costs and all legal expenses. Our service is underwritten by an authorised Insurance Company for events taking place in the UK. It provides cover for legal expenses and certain awards for any incident that occur. Indemnity cover is provided to support you in dealing with any enforcement issues that may arise. This includes legal support for responding to formal notices, interviews under caution and representation in court should the need arise. The indemnity protection covers the legal costs of any prosecution and legal costs for representation at tribunals in the case of appeals against formal notices.
