My son has been tutored by Dan for nearly 5 years now and, in that time, Dan has guided him expertly from being a complete beginner to Grade 5 level. Dan takes his lead from his students in terms of what type of music they would like to learn, meaning that my son is always interested and engaged in lessons. Dan has high expectations from his students, encouraging regular and effective practise. I'm sure that Dan and my son will continue their successful partnership for many years to come.

West London based, but online/remote lessons mostly, unless you're based local enough. Highly experienced, fully DBS checked bassist and guitarist with well over 20 years of playing and touring. I have performed, composed and recorded music in various UK bands across many different genres. I still perform in creative projects as well as maintaining a career as a function band musician (corporate events, weddings).

My son had tried many instruments before the guitar. He would learn quickly, and then lose interest. With Jonathan things have been different, and he has enjoyed the lessons and continued to enjoy them. I don't personally know what a lesson with Jonathan is like, but I have seeen that my son had made rapid progress, and, more importantly, he loves playing the guitar and enjoys his weekly lessons with Jon. Jon has always been understanding if I have had to cancel a lesson and has tried to reschedule. He also supported us at short notice by accompanying Richard in an exam, when I hadn't requested an accompanist. Talented, fun and kind - what better combination for a music teacher?!

Hi there, My name is Ian Griffiths, and I’ve been teaching guitar for 28 years in schools and colleges teaching both adults and children. I started playing guitar when I was 14. After leaving school, I studied at the Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales and then at Goldsmiths College in London. Some of my past students include Dhani Harrison, the son of Beatle George Harrison, A young singer called Alan Pownall who’s doing well, and the 2 original guitarists from the London band The Carnabys. My teaching is very practice is very busy and to help me I've recruited some teachers in the Chiswick, Kew, Richmond and Twickenham area. We now offer guitar teachers and guitar tuition face to face in West London and online using Skype, Facetime and through online courses. Give me a call! Ian
Being involved in music is not like a job it's more like full-filling your life's purpose. There is so much variety in being a professional musician that I would recommend it to anyone. And I'd challenge anyone to find a more full-filling form of work. There's the creative side: songwriting and composition, there's the teaching side; helping others to become professionals in their own right. There's being part of a community of music lovers. And also the performance side, it's so engaging that while performing in a concert, music takes on a spiritual dimension. And there's not many professions that can say that!
It was a natural development from having a full timetable of students. When you get good at what you do, the phone starts to ring. And then when you business if full, the phone keeps ringing.
So, naturally I couldn't keep turning away the inquiring students, I found teachers for them. Now we have a team of teachers working in West London.
