*Rockschool Registered* Hi, I’m Georgie! Based in Brighton, I have been teaching guitar and bass for over six years in schools and privately through my own company, Lykos Music Tuition. Learning an instrument should be a fun and rewarding experience, meaning that every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, with regular check-ins to assess progress. I also provide custom practise routines with lesson reports and personalised resource folders to support students outside of lessons.

I'm Dan! A guitar tutor from Brighton & Hove. I've been teaching guitar for around four years while pursuing a degree in music and then later a postgraduate qualification in teaching in the creative industries. I'm extremely passionate about developing students to reach their musical goals, and ensuring that they become well rounded and proficient in their area of study. It's important for me to make sure every lesson is exciting and fresh, and that students can leave the lesson with high quality materials to develop themselves throughout the week.

Lewesguitar offers students who want to learn the classical guitar, acoustic guitar or ukulele, a very broad approach. This enables the student to find their niche and develop the style they love. I can teach most styles, but have chosen not to teach rock-guitar, and focus on playing unplugged on acoustic instruments. You will learn all you need to know to play what you love and I can promise that you will have lots of fun playing your instrument.

Brighton and Hove guitar lessons is a team of professional working guitarists based in East Sussex. After working in the music industry and the music tuition industry for many years, we got together to write a syllabus based on the skills we think are most necessary to make playing music intuitive and fun. We are all out gigging 2 - 3 times a week, using these skills to get on stage and play with different musicians, and we want to start students out with the information we wish we had known when we started.

I am a Brighton-based guitar player, songwriter and session musician who has worked with a wide variety of groups spanning various genres and performed at some of London's most prestigious venues including Ronnie Scott's jazz club and the Roundhouse in Camden. I am also largely familiar with the gig circuit around Brighton and the South West of England. Whether you are looking to learn that first pop tune, broaden your style, nail a perfect solo or anything else that involves a guitar, I can help you!
Ready to learn how to play guitar? I can teach you. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up an instrument before, or you’ve got a dusty old acoustic in the corner you haven’t touched in years. Based in the centre of Brighton, UK, I offer personalised guitar tuition both in person and online. I can guide you through Rockschool Grades 1-8, but I can also help you improve your technique, improvising and songwriting.

SAM is the personable acronym of Sussex Academy of Music, a business started up in 2008 by two entrepreneurial youngsters in their early 20s. The premises are a converted business unit in the Riverside Business Centre, and being so new, are well equipped with nothing missing or broken. The situation is good as well - although it initially looks a bit soulless, a moment's walk over to the sea wall provides you with beautiful boats aplenty on the river and a lovely place to practise outdoors on a sunny Saturday. They mostly give lessons to youngsters, but adults can be involved as well. I went here, though, not as a student but to use their recording studio. This proved to be a good move on the part of those who were deciding. The studio was in good condition, with a little dais for drums and a medium sized area for recording - we fitted an eight piece band in here comfortably for a day's session. Our engineer was an enthusiastic, friendly guy with a great musical ear and infinite patience, and really took care with it, almost as if it were his band, which put me right at ease. I'd definitely recommend this place if you want to be well taken care of.

Nice relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and James is a very patient teacher! He's more than happy to cater to your musical tastes and needs. Doesn't mind going over the same points if you don't understand and does it without making you feel stupid. Been going 2 years and am amazed at how long my "can play" list of songs is getting. Also loads of on-line lessons to refresh what you've learnt in the 1-2-1's.

Learning an instrument should be a fun and rewarding experience, meaning that every lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, with regular check-ins to assess progress. I also provide custom practise routines with lesson reports and personalised resource folders to support students outside of lessons. I believe that being active in the industry is important for any music tutor to ensure the content is accurate and current. I regularly compose, record and gig with my originals band and undergo session work around the UK. Music has always played a significant role in my life and achieving my degree in music really solidified my passion! The ages I teach range from seven to seventy, which has help me build an impressive repertoire of material from Metallica to Little Mix. Whatever genre, technique, or song you wish you learn, I’m ready to teach it! Whether you want to study grades, hone your skills, or just learn your favourite songs, I am the teacher for you. I am DBS checked and a registered Rockschool Tutor.
I love seeing my students progress and enjoy playing their instrument. The aspect of my job that I love the most is seeing how happy my students are when they have finally learnt a tricky song, passed their grade exam with flying colours or just really getting stuck in to their favourite tune. I really listen to my students aspirations and goals and with structured lessons, I get to follow that journey with them and the end result is very rewarding.
I created Lykos Music Tuition to inspire musicians – providing a blended mix of musical training and career development. Learning an instrument feeds the brain, aids personal development and is an outlet from everyday life. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience this.
The lessons and resources I provide are specifically tailored to every student, with your ability and aspirations carefully considered. From my many years of teaching and experience in the industry, you can be sure the lessons are accurate and engaging.
Oh, and the first lesson is free!
I offer in-person lessons at my studio in Brighton or at the student's home.
Online lessons are always available regardless of location.
My top priority is to ensure students are in a safe and comfortable environment to learn their instrument. All of the necessary precautions are taken with in-person lessons, ensuring the safety of me and the student. Online lessons are always available if the student would prefer.
