‘'This is a music school of high standard with highly qualified tutors. FMA has a very professional approach to the teaching of music. In the heart of Stratford FMA offers the best music training for any musician. My two children started piano lessons at FMA last October and they Love it! The staff is very welcoming, encouraging, warm and supportive. We can see the progress and confidence of my children growing every week. I strongly recommend FMA.'’ L. Schrepfer ‘'Our son has piano and guitar lessons weekly, and we are thrilled with the progress he is making, as well as how much he enjoys learning both of these instruments. His tutors have the balance right between encouragement and discipline, in order to help him achieve his best. We are delighted with this academy, and our next son is about to start lessons next term because he wants to do what he sees his big brother doing!’' C.Clinton''FMA feels as if it's contributing to the area - not to a select minority.'' Paul W. ''The singing workshop was God sent!'' Alicia Alison ‘'My 5 year old son seems to be enjoying his piano lessons and is making really good progress. The staff is very warm and the kids work hard for them. The place has a lovely atmosphere - very open and encouraging. The performance afternoons are a great way of getting the kids used to an audience and it's nice for the parents of the little ones to see how their kids are doing. We are very pleased. FMA feels as if it's contributing to the area - not to a select minority.‘' Ellie P. ‘'The enthusiasm and work that these professionals are giving at FMA is outstanding. They constantly bring different events accessible to all, always trying to create a relaxed and open atmosphere.’' Carlos Robles ‘Since I have been taking lessons at the First Musical Academy my confidence and voice have improved so much. I have tried many teachers over the years. My teacher at FMA is, without question, the best. I love my singing lessons and I look forward to them every week! Amber Hunt '‘I started Piano lessons in Nov 2008 and continue to this date. I found the tutors friendly and patient. You can learn at your own pace and choose your own music to play. The organizers are flexible and have a real personal touch. As well as progressing there is an emphasis on putting you at ease and just having fun which is what learning music should be all about.’' Philip Fernadez ‘'My 5 year old son really looks forward to 'Music for the Little Ones'. He sings the songs all week. I have been impressed at how the basic music concepts are being taught - for example galloping round the room and walking slowly for rhythm and drawing a line going up and down to illustrate pitch. My son loves the lessons so much.'’ Cathy Booth

What our students have said about our school: "I feel like this school and the people here really care about me and what I want to do on the guitar. I carry on with lessons because I can see the progress and I'm actually able to do the things that I want." - Chardelle "The community here is so supportive, it really feels like a family, where they want the best for you. When I came, I wanted to be able to play barre chords, and a year and a half later, I'm able to play one of my favourite jazz pieces. It's something I would have never dreamt I could do on the guitar being self-taught for 10 years before I started lessons and just played open chords that whole time. It's the best decision I've ever made, joining Guitar Tuition East London." - Jon
There are so many things I love about what we do. The students at the school are all amazing, positive and lovely people. It's like seeing your friends coming into the school, so it never feels like work. I love coming up with great lessons and having the students be so excited about guitar playing and what they've learnt.
For the children, helping them enjoy music so much and watching them gain confidence in not only the guitar but in themselves is terrific. The responses from parents, especially those who have sent their children to other places before are so overwhelmingly positive that it makes what we do very easy.
It's not possible for me not to love what I do. Having students who really appreciate the lessons and what we do for them. And building a community that supports each other's success is a gratifying feeling as well. Having so many people passionate about music, guitar, all in one place is something very special.
I wanted to find somewhere like what we have created here but couldn't. The lessons I had previously did not help me with my guitar playing, and I started to think that you had to be gifted and talented. When actually, there is a science to being amazing at guitar. We've worked out that science and have applied to students consistently so that they achieve incredible results through it.
It's a place that's perfect if you want to get great at guitar or you want to have a lot of fun learning and be surrounded by other like-minded people.
We aren't for everyone here. The students that come to the school love what we do because it's so innovative and unique.
The teaching that happens isn't conventional, the majority of the teaching techniques here you cannot find anywhere else. The science and engineer behind it means it creates consistent results every time for a student, no matter how different each student's ambition is on the guitar.
We are right for you if you are passionate about music and guitar, you want to get fantastic progress on yourself, and you are willing to try something a little different. It's going to be a lot of fun, and there will be some challenges because learning guitar isn't always easy. But through it, you will gain a lot of confidence for yourself and your guitar playing.
