The history of this location is particularly important to the identity and standards which the gallery unwaveringly aspires to. I am a painter and printmaker specialising in oil painting and lithographic and intaglio printmaking. I paint and make prints to commission, taking work which ranges from conventional portraits to something more unusual such as making an image to celebrate a wedding or painting a spirit animal. Every commission is unique and I work with you to make something you will love. If you would like me to paint a painting for you or design a print please take a look at my website and contact me.

I have been drawing all my life, and have taught drawing in various contexts - to undergraduate students, to school children, and more informally to adults, both one-on-one and in groups. I most enjoy working one on one with students, taking the time to really get to know them, and watching in detail as they improve. I believe that drawing skill can be taught and that most people with a bit of work can improve, but the most important thing is to develop the love of drawing and a sensitivity to beauty.

Although i am not a student of the art group as such, i have been very impressed at the quality of work produced by those who at the beginning were unsure they had it in them to become artists. Through Isabel's encouragement and enthusiasm, everyone has improved their technique using different mediums, and each one has found their own particular style and favourite method. Not only has the group evolved into a very good art group, it has also evolved into a very good gathering of friends, again, due to the encouragement and enthusiasm of Isabel to get everyone involved.
