We brought our puppy, Nelly to Jacob at Yorkshire Canine Academy at 14 weeks old. As a border collie she is a very energetic and all our training and tips have been specific to our dog/ breed, not just generic information. Jacob has a wealth of knowledge and has given great advice at each of our sessions to deal with any problem that has arisen with Nelly which is really shaping her behaviour and turning her into a very happy and well behaved dog. Outside of the 1-2-1 sessions Jacob is always available at the end of the phone even for the most ridiculous of questions! I can’t recommend Yorkshire Canine Academy enough as they have made the first few months of puppy ownership much easier and made us feel confident that we are doing the best for Nelly! Thanks very much!

I have trained my dogs under Wendy for a number of years. With her expert knowledge I have achieved more with my dogs than ever thought possible. My dogs, cavies, can easily live lap dog lives however they are capable of so much more as I discovered with Wendy. I am so proud of the assistance, obedience and agility they have achieved. My second was a rescue who I took to Wendy with significant issues due to neglect in her previous life. Wendy has enabled me to un lock her full potential and enable her to enjoy her life and address her issues so she can live a happy life. Wendy always puts the dogs first. I would trust her judgement and techniques over any other and would without question recommend her to any dog owner.

Buddy and I have been members of Bankhouse Barkers for almost 3 years. We started agility training because I felt that Buddy showed promise as a fast and agile dog. We both enjoy our classes and the fact that as well as agility, we get good, all round training, discipline, focus, boundary and this is done in a professional and friendly manner. Many dogs go on to compete in agility in local dog shows and those further a field. If this does not appeal to you, the training is still relevant to everyday life. The members of the club are all friendly and there is a social aspect developing within the club, should this be of interest to you. I have always found that the trainers are very helpful and take an interest in each and every dog (and it's owner). Highly recommended.

Unleashed Pawtential dog training covers the Leeds and West Yorkshire areas. We specialise in dog obedience training and canine behaviour. We strongly believe in providing the best care for your dog, that’s why we only use scientifically proven, force free dog training methods. This uses positive reinforcement food or toy rewards to teach your dog how to behave. What we do: Aggression Barking Separation Anxiety Jumping Up Lunging House training Manners Leash Pulling Nervous/Fearful behaviour Compulsive behaviour Begging Recall Basic Obedience Puppy Training Competitive Obedience Tricks And many more... Our philosophy is to set your dog up for success and reward the things we want. By teaching instead of correcting, we can create a less stressful environment to learn, and a happy, relaxed dog and owner who knows what we want, not what we don’t want. From Doberman to Chihuahua, we can train all breeds, any age, no matter what their background is. Because our dogs are our best friends!
Working with dogs is simply the best job in the world! My behaviour change programs enable owners to better understand any behaviour issues that their dog is experiencing, enabling them to change their dogs behaviour for the better. The best part is the change I see in quality of life for dogs and their owners, as well as the close bond and understanding between the two.
As a very competitive person I enjoy teaching dogs new tricks, scent work and competitive obedience.
