Rachel Davis at the Coaching Cabin

I offer developmental coaching for those undergoing personal and/or professional challenge, making life transitions or just wanting to get to know their 'selves' better. The Coaching Cabin is located in Old Welwyn, Herts and each coaching session is usually 60m in duration unless agreed otherwise. Most coaching goals are reached within 5-6 sessions, scheduled over a 6-9 month period, but it may be that a more or less frequent arrangement works best for you. Coaching can be undertaken in person or via telephone/Skype and can take place during the day or evening, seven days a week, with sufficient notice. Small group coaching and coaching skills training is also offered - please see website for details.

What do you love most about your job?

Coaching allows me to combine my three passions: people, learning and conversation. There is nothing more satisfying than helping people help themselves - identifying unhelpful thoughts, feelings or behaviours and releasing them from self-limiting beliefs. Each client is different and therefore every day is different - this energises me and drives me to keep learning and developing as a person - which is what I need to live a happy, fulfilling life!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Prior to setting up my own coaching business, I worked as a university lecturer and then ran a very busy learning development team. I knew I needed to make some big changes if I wanted to be a great coach so I took the leap, finished my qualifications, and never looked back! The flexibility of working for myself suits my home life as I have two young(ish) children and a husband who travels with work.

Why should our clients choose you?

The relationship between coach and client is the single most important factor in achieving a successful therapeutic outcome and therefore I always like to meet clients for an informal chat or telephone call before embarking on a coaching journey. I provide a dedicated, peaceful space where you can do your best thinking; explore ongoing life challenges, identify change goals and make positive, lasting change. I have worked with a wide variety of clients on a wide range of change goals (e.g. work transitions, parenting and relationships, study skills, stress and anxiety, performance anxiety, healthy living, bereavement) - why don't you visit my website to find out what my clients have said about working with me?
