I take commissions for all types of press work, advertorial, business, and food photography. Advertorial, press and corporate videography work is also undertaken.
After more than 20 years as a senior photographer with Trinity Mirror working on such titles as the Western Mail, South Wales Echo, Glamorgan Gazette and WalesOnline I started my own business in 2015.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Totally depends on the type of job. Sometimes leaving the camera in the camera bag sharing a cup of tea with a client and putting them at ease. Sometimes its understanding what the clients needs are especially if its a commercial assignment . On other occasions its a quick reaction to circumstances around you eg. when I photographed President Obama leaving air force one. All jobs are different and peoples requirements are different so a need to be flexible is a must.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
As much detail as possible, to be fully briefed is a must.
What do you love most about your job?
So many experiences, yes to photograph the Olympics, Ryder Cup, The Ashes, US President, being a Royal Rota photographer, these were all memorable. Most of all it's the contact I have had with people just like me and you, the humbling and privileged times I have been allowed into peoples lives experiencing their happiness and sometimes their sadness too.
What inspired you to start your own business?
With over twenty years as a senior staff photographer and with the newspaper industry moving in a different direction- time to jump ship and give it a go. I always wanted to know if I could make it on my own.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe any photographer is good as his or her last picture. So after many thousands of assignments in my career I don't have a been there done that attitude, because yes you are only good as your last pic.
