Thanks to Joe and his team for wonderful tapas and service at our family gathering on Saturday. Sorry about the weather but food made up for it and Spanish twist was perfect!

Enjoyed the contents of a picnic hamper by The Kilter Caterer during a Scottish tour. The food was delicious and creative. I love that it is all locally sourced and uses sustainable packaging. They are very accommodating of dietary requirements and made me delicious vegan treats! Would highly recommend and will be keeping this lovely family run company in mind for any future catering needs I have. Thanks Cheryl and Joe! More...

This hall is stunning. Was here last night as an evening guest for a wedding, and driving up the venue is impressive - the building is lit beautifully at night. Inside, the rooms are beautiful - I love the stained glass and the venue is a perfect size for a wedding with space for people to spill out of the main hall for a chat or bar break.Gorgeous. More...

Pollokshields Burgh hall is a beautiful building situated in Maxwell park in Glasgow's southside. It's a wonderful place to hold a wedding with plenty of gorgeous rooms and stunning stained glass windows. It's also an excellent price to hire, especially on a Sunday as we did! I got married here in 2011. The staff are helpful and friendly and as soon as we were shown round we knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our big day. It didn't disappoint, we were able to customise it with our own decor and were very lucky with a gorgeous sunny day to enjoy being outside the Loggia downstairs for our champagne reception and also have some lovely photos taken in the park. We had a humanist ceremony here and managed to squeeze in 139 guests! :)One of the main reasons we chose it (other than being a stunning building with beautiful hallways and the large Maxwell room) was the option to bring in any caterer so we were able to have an Indian feast and set up our own cheese table for after! Amazing! We also had plenty of indoor space in case we weren't so lucky with the weather.I've also taken pilates classes here and I believe there are plenty of other events on throughout the year as well. I just love the building and still like to visit and have a walk round the outside. More...
