Murtagh Music offers a range of music services which include piano tuition (jazz and classical), music theory tuition, guitar tuition for beginners and music technology tuition covering the use of Logic Pro X, Pro Tools and Reason. In addition I also provide recording facilities and consultation with song writers regarding arrangements, instrumentation, production mixing and mastering.

My daughter has been going to Andy for a couple of months now. She was an absolute beginner at guitar and has progressed well building confidence. She has learnt to sight read music as part of the lessons without realising it. Andy himself is a very relaxed and warm teacher showing a great deal of patience. He always gives constructive feedback, and always explains both theory and technique well. Another positive side is that my playing has improved by sitting in on the lessons and going through the excercises at home with my daughter, and I have gotten over my mental block with sight reading too. What do you love most about your job?
I love to see my students progressing and growing in confidence as they become more proficient as a musician. I also love the process of recording and seeing peoples songs develop from a basic idea into a full production.
