Had the pleasure of being taught by Joe on and off over the last couple of years - he is brilliant! Very patient, knowledgable and had a great natural ear for music and helped me progress with my playing very quickly - also when he was teaching me he had a hit song that he wrote for David Guetta, which I kept hearing on the radio. VERY COOL!

Watching students of all abilities thrive and achieve their goals through my teaching. Above all, I love seeing my students having fun and thoroughly enjoying their time in my lessons.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having ten years of music industry experience under my belt I want to inspire the next generation of musicians. However, I am also a strong believer that you are never too old to learn a new skill! I also love working with people, collaboration is such an integral part of music and I want to share that with as many people as possible.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am incredibly patient and I just want to see my students grow and thrive. I get a huge amount of satisfaction knowing that I am playing a part in my student's development. I also remember starting off as a beginner myself and recognise the ways in which I loved to be taught. I have a wealth of experience and knowledge that I am very keen to share.

Essential music theory
Learn the fundamental skills that will allow your musicianship to flourish. Rather than staring at notation, we will look at real world examples on the guitar and explore music theory through play
Strumming Patterns and Finger Picking
Discover the rhythmic elements that are offered through a range of strumming patterns and finger picking. We will discover the power of dynamics too and the different sounds we can achieve through playing quietly or loud.
Basic open chord shapes (Transitioning to barre chords)
Master the basic open chord shapes to unlock all of your favourite songs. Rather than staring at notation, we will take songs of your choosing to learn how to play all the open chord shapes. Once this is accomplished we will move on to barre chords to elevate your playing!
Understanding Rhythm and Tempo
Playing in time is an essential skill that we will hone. Whether playing alone or with other musicians, it is vital to keep in time. By deconstructing some of your favourite songs we will gain a greater understanding of the importance of rhythm and tempo. Through practice and exercises, we will make sure you obtain all the necessary skills to advance to the next level.
Learner Led Free Time
In every lesson I ensure there is a small amount of time devoted to exploring wherever my students want to go. Exploration is the key to keeping my lessons exciting and ensuring you become the guitarist that you want to be. Whether we explore a new song that you love, learn a new killer riff or write something new together, this part of the lesson is totally up to you!
Get To Know The Guitar / Caring For Your Instrument
Understanding the anatomy of your guitar is a basic skill that many guitarists forget to master. By doing this we can even create new sounds and ways of playing once we learn how the guitar ticks. In addition to learning how to tune your instrument correctly, we will also cover how to change strings and maintain your guitar to keep it looking and sounding great!
