About

Now, that sounds good but what does it mean? Firstly, you should know we only work with 25 clients at any one time.

I recently had a Councilling session with Daniel, I was so nervous as I'd never done anything like this before but he was super, he made me feel really relaxed and like I was just off loading to a friend , so much so I've booked a block of sessions 😀, I would 100% recommend Daniel Picave

My wife and I went to see Daniel and we were in a bad place. He said he couldn't promise to fix us, he could only promise to make us aware of what was really going on. He did. We are back to happy but we still see Daniel very month, just to be on the safe side, lol!! More...

It worked for me. not much more to say really, is there? I talked and he listened and it was so comforting to have someone listen to you properly. Such a warm guy.

Q&As

As a counsellor, I am not sat in my chair with all the answers. The aspect I love the most about my job is the journey I take with the client. Each journey is different. Each story is different. Everyone is unique. We discover the answers together. My role is to act as guide as the client explores their own life to find the best route to follow, I love that.

I think it was the need to be individual which prompted me to launch the counselling business. I recognised that just as each of my clients has their own story to share, so do I. My story needs me to be master of my destiny and in a position to help other people with the turmoil and struggles in their life.

I have lived through some dark days in my life with personal grief and trauma. I would hate to think that anyone else is living those same dark days without my reaching out to help, to provide some light.

I can only really share the opinions of previous clients in answering this question. People say I have an open and honest approach. People say that the connection between them and me grows week on week and becomes very real and almost tangible.

We refer to the Daniel Picave Group as the Picaverse. All our wonderful staff are members of the Picaverse and for the time they are with us, all of our clients are members too.

Remember, we only work with 25 clients at any one time, so we can really focus on them. If you are one of the 25, hopefully we make you feel quite special in that regard.

When I welcome a new client into our counselling, they immediately become so much more than just a client. They become part of our family and shrouded in our pastoral care. We take the fact you have chosen to put your faith in us very seriously, very seriously indeed.

We can provide our counselling service through Zoom but we are always keen to encourage our clients to engage in face to face (in the same room) sessions as often as possible.

One of the cornerstones of good counselling is the connection formed between the counsellor and client. At Daniel Picave, we value that connection more highly than any other aspect of the relationship.

We are happy to combine face to face sessions with Zoom sessions if that is more convenient for the client.

We also offer home visits or neutral location visits (like a coffee shop for example) when it is appropriate to do so.

We use video conferencing. We observe social distancing in our offices. Masks are worn during the client sessions unless the client feels more comfortable without (social distancing is observed). All staff are vaccinated.

Services

Using weekly face to face sessions, sometimes as a couple and sometimes as individuals, we explore the obstacles and blockages to a healthy relationship.
Through honesty and compassion, we rebuild the sensation of being in love and reinforce the foundations of the relationship so it can be built upon.

Using weekly face to face sessions, we explore the obstacles and blockages to you engaging in healthy relationships.
These sessions will include self esteem and motivation along with the foundation skills for forming meaningful relationships.

Relationships end, that is just a fact of life. Using our uncoupling service, we work with couples to manage the break up process in order to leave them both as healthy and unburdened individuals ready to face the next new chapter in their lives.

Grief comes in some many forms and extends far beyond just the loss of a loved one.
Traumatic life events like losing your job, losing a marriage or relationship all result in grief potentially overshadowing your life.
Ignoring grief is not the same as dealing with it. We have helped clients who lost a loved one very recently and clients who lost a marriage twenty years ago.

All our counselling services start with an invitation to the would-be client to attend a one hour initial consultation. The consultation is entirely free of charge and without obligation.
This initial consultation allows us to explain how we work and for you to share your issues, as you see them, for the first time with us.
At the end of the consultation, we detail our proposed plan for your counselling going forward.

This counselling product allows us to work with you to unearth the best version of you. We look at every aspect of your life - home, work, relationships, emotions, intimacy, the whole spectrum in order to discover the best version.

Each of us has a hot air balloon of potential inside us. We work with you to find the guide ropes which are anchoring that potential to the ground. We give you the tools to untie the knots and let that potential soar.
