I was referred to Dharam by a friend who had used him before for her electrical services, to do some work at my grandparents home. We had several electricians come by to identify the fault however, they weren't sure what the issue was and tried to charge more to do deeper investigations to find the issue. I did find quotes that were cheaper than Dharams however the works reflected his price and gave me confidence we wouldn't be messed around. Would definitely recommend him and use him again! More...

Was contacted by Dharam after posting a job for my brother’s flat,he was suppose to replace a fuse box.
He came put a cheap box that doesn’t pass the certificate and didn’t finish the job after contacting him for almost a month with all the excuses never came to finish the job, then sent his friend Gary which I thought was going to finish the job but no he came to rip me off again asking for another £350 for the certificate which should be under £100, only this time I didn’t fall for it.
Now I’m left with a fuse box that doesn’t pass the inspection. This guys go around ripping people off without the intention of finishing any job. doest’t even know how to do an invoice but I told him my brother is going to declare as an expense as the flat is rented. so we’re going to let HMRC deal with him.
I should’ve given the money only when got certificate and invoice in my hand ,
I think they don’t even know how to do a certificate.
Now I’m trying to get my money back somehow through Citizens Advice.
And have to get a proper electrician to finish the job. More...

Hi Antonio, Thank you for putting a review. Firstly, I woukd like to mention that the job has been completed and I have all the evidence to prove it has been completed. We charged you £400 to issue you a certificate whether it passed or fails aswell as changing your 6 way consuner unit. Firstly the reason why we came in at a cheaper quote was because one you wanted to save money and you mentioned you had a full Inspection already conducted by a diffrent electrician.(not sure why you wasnt able to get in contact with the previous electrician) now when i attended your property i mentioned to you any faults that were found in your property that were existing would be chargeable as they would need to be rectified in order to give you a pass certificate as supposed to failed certificate. Now during the process of testing we highlighted numerous faults that your previous electrician falsified and didnt add on the cert. Some of these issues being No IP rated light fitting in bathroom(C2) Earths were also cut out of every downlight fitting and was not terninated. These downlighst were Class 1 fittings which requires earths as they are metal. You also had no smoke or heat alarms which i told you was a recommendation to have. These are all things that wouldve failed your certificate. Now the reason why i highlighted these issues during testing was to actually make your life easier as you could’ve paid to get these existing faults and we couldve issued you a pass certificate ad supposed to a failed certificate. Unfortunately we cannot sign off work and pass work that we know could and will prove dangerous. As mentioned aswell if you want to go to HMRC as well as citizens advice feel free to do so!
