Had our first training session this evening with Paula at the Denholme venue. Paula is very friendly and informative, explaining in detail about the exercises we were doing with our two dogs, what the benefits are and when to implement them. We started classes with Paula after adopting Misty our lovely 4 year old staffy and it has made such a difference for us! The classes are a great way to bond with your dog and we all learnt so much ! Dora loves going to ‘puppy club’. Dora has come a long way with the training thanks to Paula. We have had a couple of 1-2-1’s which were a huge benefit to Dora, just hope we can keep up the good work!

I can definitely recommend Paula for advice and dog training. Paula came to give us some tips on positive training for our pup Rafi. I was surprised how easy she made it all look, she is professional but was really relaxed which made us all feel very comfortable, Rafi included. not having much of a clue on how to train and interact with our first dog...Paula has been great...we have had a one to one to get us started and 2 lots of puppy classes so far. our very bouncy young dog is trained!! she's reliable off lead..reliably knows many commands and very much enjoys the training. As for us owners we've managed to get our heads around how dogs learn, its given us a way to really connect with our dog and understand her.. We are really enjoying the rewards now of the training Paula has taught us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommendpaulas classes and advice to anyone getting a new pooch. First one to one session with Paula was so informative, helpful and productive. She was professional and calm around my reactive little dog and being able to have the consultation in our own home helped a great deal. We have just finished the 6 week puppy training course and thoroughly enjoyed it, puppy Milo most of all. Paula & Kat demonstrated some really useful techniques and we're already seeing improvements in Milo's behaviour. Me and my beaut Roxy have just finished another group of training sessions with Paula and Margaret, Bronte Canine Services in Oakworth. They have been absolutely fantastic. Alongside a wonderful group of owners and their pooches. We have had an amazing time. Roxy has come along so much and the sessions were not only practical but also enjoyable. I have just finished the 6 weeks puppy life skills course . My 2 Labrador pups of 4 months were hand reared as their mum died while giving birth so I wasn’t sure how they would cope with the class . They both learned so much , Paula and Cat teach training methods that are effective , kind, easy to understand , and above all fun for pups and handler . Roe , my girl is nervous and anxious but came on in leaps and bounds as the weeks progressed . Both Paula and Cat were so kind and helpful . I have just completed the 6 week beginner class with my very lively Finish Lapphund puppy Mika. Paula's classes are fantastic and I have learned some great training techniques over the last few weeks. It really makes me wish that we had taken our older dog to Paula, as I am sure it would have helped immensely wiith his training too. I only intended completing the beginners course, but I am so impressed with Mika's progress, that I have now signed up for the next course. As my dog has a few behavioural issues I was initially apprehensive about using a dog walking service. Paulas conduct and professionalism soon put my mind at ease and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this service.

We have just finished a Beginner Course and found the whole thing completely enjoyable, very useful and so informative. There was a range of exercises and activities to trial in the hall and then follow up at home /outside. The insight into the psyche of my dog was fascinating and so helpful! Paula came to me when I took a 3 year old GS cross with issues. He suffers from separation anxiety and is very reactive to other dogs on a walk as well as having to adjust to a new home and owner. She put a training programme in place to help us create a bond and build his trust in me. We 'train' in the morning before I leave for work which stimulates him mentally and tires him, this combined with tips from Paula to make my leaving and returning a more pleasurable experience for him are really paying off. I've only had him for 4 weeks and we have just walked past a man with 2 dogs without reacting - fantastic progress. It is hard work I won't deny it but well worth the effort if you just follow Paula's very clear and concise directions. This lady has improved my little man's life immeasurably in such a short time, we both say a huge THANK YOU Paula for all that you have done so far and all the fun we know is still to come xx More...

I recently went away for a weeks holiday and after having been told at short notice that my normal cat sitter wouldn't be able to cover the time they recommended Bronte Canine Services and I am so glad they did! I cannot fault a single thing that Paula did from initial contact to coming in an looking after the cats.
I was delayed in getting back home after the trip and on very short notice Paula was happy to make sure the cats were looked after for an extra day.
I would not hesitate in recommending Bronte Canine Services to anyone. More...

Just completed the Adult Beginners 6 week course in hebden. Paula and Cat helped me see that my little dog really enjoyed the training exercises and is eager to please, so this has motivated me to be more consistent outside the class. This evening our Border Collie Luna graduated from her 6 week beginners course. She has enjoyed the sessions immensely and we have all learnt a lot. She is destined to be a working sheep dog so her training is taking a different path now but we are glad we came to these classes as she has also benefitted from the socialisation. I have found the adult training class excellent & really helpful to address some behaviours in my 6 yr old Staffy. The lessons on recall, settle & jumping up have taught me how to correct these unwanted behaviours. Paula is knowledgable, patient & obviously loves her job as she interacts so well with the dogs. We brought our nervous and extremely shy rescue pup to Paula's puppy classes totally unsure how he would respond and he loved it! ! Paula was completely attentive to his needs (being older than most of the other pups there and a rescue). We started off with one to one training at home with Paula & our boisterous Labrador Elsie. The way Paula teaches us is brilliant with some easy techniques for dealing with little doggy problems. We are now attending adult follow on & Elsie has just got her bronze Kennel Club award. We all love going to classes & Elsie is eager to learn new tricks. I have just completed the 6 week adult obedience class with my 18 month Border Collie, who is highly anxious in new situations and can very reactive around other dogs. Paula & Kat have been brilliant and really supportive. The small group setting is really relaxed and they are able to give individual attention and adapt their techniques to the particular needs of each dog and owner.
The course is excellent value for money and we have seen a significant improvement in my dogs confidence and subsequent behaviour and this has also helped me and my dog build a more trusting relationship and bond. More...

Billy and I have just completed his first 6 week course. Billy is a boisterous 12 month old labrador with the attention span of a gnat and who pulls like a train! With Paula's assistance Billy is now learning to walk to heel, his recall is a lot better and he's nailing his basics. I'm very pleased with his progress (he's far better than I thought he would be after 6 weeks) so much so that we are starting a second class. The dog walker at bronte canine services is amazingly professional and caring. We've been using them since last summer and our dog has just grown and become a different dog.
