I cannot recommend NordicDogs highly enough. My dog, an English setter, was brought over from Northern Spain, where he had been badly treated by a hunter. At first Sil was quite wild and I began to wonder whether I had made a terrible error. Thankfully, with Emma’s guidance there has been a huge improvement. She is incredibly knowledgeable regarding training techniques and patient also, an essential quality when dealing with a novice dog owner like myself. I’ve done the beginner gun dog and the scent work course with my spaniel and we have both enjoyed ourselves. Just finished the last week of our puppy training class with Emma, we started the class later than others because we didn't get the pup until 15 weeks but Emma was very accomodating and allowed us to join. Certainly not your mundane obedience class, my 11 year old daughter was the handler of our Red Collie X JRT puppy Toast and Emma really helped with her confidence. Just completed the Beginners Gundog course. Absolutely brilliant, each week was filled with fun and great advice and support from Emma. It was such a treat to train outdoors, where the dogs could learn to use their natural instincts in a variety of settings with an abundance of real world distractions to challenge them. Puppy Adventurers Course. So Louis and I have just finished this course and loved it. I've not found training Louis easy and have needed a lot of extra support than is probably normal. I found Emma to be extremely supportive both in class and at home offering me extra advice and support in a totally non judgemental way. Who knows where Louis and I would be without her! I have just finished the 12 week beginner gun dog course with my labradoodle lola. She is a pet and we don't actually use her as a gun dog but the training has helped a lot with her obedience and stimulation. She is much easier to handle now and I have lots of tips for her ongoing training. Emma is very knowledgable and always happy to go through any queries or issues, and also offers alternative ways of training depending on how lola responded. I would definitely recommend the course. Emma comes highly recommended as a great trainer, she has a huge amount of knowledge and we learned a lot from her. As the classes are only small you feel that you get the one on one attention rather than a manic room full of crazy pups! I loved the fact that Emma is not only professional but also down to earth, we found it much more relaxing knowing we could have a few giggles! Walkinn fell is safe and secure. I often work long hours and my cocker spaniel enjoys spending the day with Emma and her friendly dogs, he comes back happy and calm. I feel reassured in the knowledge that my dog is with a qualified dog trainer (as he can often sense the weakest link and be naughty), but Emma uses her expertise and knowledge to ensure he is well behaved as well as enjoying himself.
