I put up with how bad this station was for the longest time... However given how terrible the train service is and has been the fact they had the nerve to build a room within the only waiting room, cutting it more than half, reducing seats, etc. really annoys me. They removed the only vending machine as well. They also spent I don't know how much on new electronic signage when they could have invested it into actually improving this we needed. More...

The railway station has very good connections to Wales and Birmingham. The train to Wolverhampton is less than an hour. The staff on the train and at the station were very friendly and efficient, waiting with ramps to help a wheelchair user on and off the train. There were plenty of phone charging points on the train. Shrewsbury is a very compact town due to it being confined within a loop of the river seven. It is very easy to walk around. the castle is next to the railway station and worth seeing. There is a good walk along the river bank with stunning views, a nice park, and boat trips on the river seven. The town is full of medieval buildings, and there are lots of historic restaurants and pubs. The three fishes is 16th century. There is just so much to see and do. Shrewsbury is probably one of the prettiest towns in England. The Shrewsbury Hotel is a wetherspoons and offers very good value accommodation. More...

Arrived at station this morning and was asked to see my ticket, they said I could not use my railcard before 10am and would have to buy a new ticket. Another man was disputing this as saying he always travels before 10 with his railcard, which I also do. Was about to miss my train so bought another ticket which was three times the price. The lady circled the information on the terms and conditions to show the other man but then they realised that they were in the wrong and we actually could use our railcards before 10 on our advanced single tickets. By this point I had already paid for another ticket. They also said I could get a refund on my initial ticket which I have been declined and I have been declined a refund for the new ticket I received. The one lady in particular was getting very aggressive towards the man who was actually in the right. There were five members of staff who all didn’t know the rules regarding railcards and need to be better educated in future and not so rude. More...

This was a beautiful station for both arrival and departure, set in a historic building with a vintage design all around! The departure boards keep times updated, platforms are well sized for trains and staff were readily available . Stairs lead properly out to the exit through subway, signs help navigate and cleanliness had been enforced! More...

Small and beautiful station. However to change between platform 3 and 4 for bikes and people with disabilities u have to exit the station and take different lifts which can be tricky if the transfer time is tight.

I booked assistance from Telford to Manchester and had a change at Shrewsbury. The staff that were there were totally amazing! It was the first time on a train with my mobility scooter, otherwise know as the Xwing 😀, so was a bit nervous. The staff came to inform me my train was late and did suggest other options too. They were very patient, efficient and thoughtful. Tyler (I think that was his name) got me on my train before the rush. So a big shout out to the staff at Telford and Manchester Picadilly too, you rock! You made a nervous passenger more confident to use the train again. Thank you 😎✌️ More...

Waiting for a 5:10 train to Birmingham and no announcements were made to inform that the train changed to another platform. When we queried the issue, we were told it was the train stations fault and they didn’t announce it. More...

Usually a very pleasant station to use - however on this day there was bus replacement on and I had used a disabled bay as I was entitled to use it. For someone to rush over telling me to move because a bus replacement was coming. There was plenty of room for it to come in, swing around and depart - which I did. It's not my problem trains aren't reliable - disabled bays should be made available at all times. More...

Good, clean quiet station, quite a lot of connections both north and south. Have to come out of the turnstiles, out of the main exit and then re-enter from a different entrance for platform 3 FYI.

Staff on help desk needs to go on a customer care course. Because of my train being late I had missed my 2 possible connections to get me to Birmingham International, where I had a flight booked. He more or less said tough, if you have a complaint write a letter and post it in the complaints box. This was not the kind of help I expected More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret is to know your subject. It is their special day or it's for someone special. So I like time to get to know people and them to know me so we can build a rapport and the subject or subjects are at their ease and relaxed.t to make the photo shoot a success. I watch what is going on around me and love to take those informal photos of laughter, happiness and love.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Lots and Lots! Mainly it is to find out what sort of photos they want to be looking at after I have done the shoot. I Begin with the end in mind.
Obviously I need the who where what etc of the even.t
What do you love most about your job?
It's an absolute joy when you know the work you have delivered pleases your client. It's also a huge buzz for me doing a photo shoot interacting with people -I just love it!Afterwards I can't wait to get home and start editing!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always had a passion for Photography and the photos I have delivered in the past to friends and family have always been very well received. So much so they encouraged me to start a business as friends of friends were asking me to do Weddings.
So you could say it's a Passion turned into a Profession.
Why should our clients choose you?
First of all, I like people. It's all about the people who are your clients and what they want. I consider myself an approachable friendly person with a good sense of humour who can get on with anyone. I have been told I have a good eye for taking special photos. I deliver a quality service at an affordable price. All the Cameras, lenses and lighting equipment I use are of a professional standard.
