Very happy that I dealt with awesome aunty for a last minute divali party of about 25 people which included 10 teenagers.
Jaisri was most accommodating to all of my requests and delivered the food all foiled wrapped neatly and in heated food bags which kept the freshly cooked food further fresh.
The food was cooked without any additional oil floating and the Indian spices were perfect and adapted well for our guests.
The biggest compliment I can write about is that my picky 17 year old who is not a great fan of Indian food has decided that awesome aunty will have to cater for his 18th birthday do!

Like a lot of caterers, I started out in restaurants. Over the course of a few years, I worked in some of the best restaurants in London. When I wasn’t working, I would hold dinner parties for close friends. I realised what I liked most about food is giving people something that makes them happy. Catering allows me to work closely with someone, usually one-on-one. I get a lot of satisfaction from delivering exactly what they asked for and seeing guests enjoy what we’ve served them.
One of the things I like most about event catering in London is the variety. I’ve catered for big office Christmas parties, kids’ birthdays – even the odd Bar Mitzvah. However, I must say that I enjoy weddings the most. Catering for weddings means you’re a part of the most special day of someone’s life. Not everyone wants a fancy three-course meal either. I’ve worked at weddings where the bride and groom wanted pie and chips for over 120 guests!
The tricky part of working in hospitality is that people might not remember good food or service, but they’ll never forget it when it’s bad! The food is, of course, the top priority. I always tell my staff that it doesn’t matter if you’ve made a great plate of food – if you plonk it in front of a guest without as much as a smile, you’re not doing it right. You need to make sure that there isn’t one person who leaves thinking that they weren’t looked after.
Our motto is that some of the best food is simple. Just because a meal is simple doesn’t mean it’s boring, and it certainly doesn’t mean you don’t work hard to make it perfect. Many of our staff have fine dining experience. Our guests should expect classic British food, done in a way that reminds you of why it’s classic in the first place. A great example of this is our mini beef wellingtons – every time we serve them they go down a storm.
