Even though the lessons were online, I liked that I could keep my camera off, which made me feel way more comfortable. What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is watching students grow in confidence and ability over time. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing the "lightbulb" moment when a concept finally clicks for a student. Knowing that I'm helping to make learning accessible and enjoyable for all ages and abilities is what keeps me passionate about tutoring. :)
What inspired you to start your own business?
We were inspired to start Pawprints Tuition after realising the need for a more personalised and flexible approach to education. After attending both schooling and university, we understood how traditional methods sometimes fail to cater to individual learning styles, especially for those with additional needs or those being home-educated. We wanted to create a service that makes high-quality tutoring accessible to everyone, while also offering flexibility to both students and tutors.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As a fully online service, we offer a completely safe learning environment. All sessions are conducted remotely, eliminating the need for in-person contact. Our tutors are trained to ensure that students receive the same level of interaction and support as they would in a face-to-face session, without any health risks. We also provide digital lesson notes and reports to keep everything contact-free.
