What do you love most about your job?

Although I studied Architecture and perused a career in Design Management working on high profile Central London projects, having the opportunity to extend those skills into offering professional services to the domestic sector allows me to further my interest in Architecture and creating spaces and homes that clients want to achieve.

Being able to assist clients with their journey from initial ideas to completion of a final design is extremely rewarding and once finished.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I moved to London after graduating to work on multi-million pound schemes in Central London, although these projects are interesting I always enjoyed smaller scale domestic Architecture, especially that of older properties. Originally starting as a hobby or by helping friends with their extensions I began to prepare designs for a number of clients on a word of mouth basis. This has since expanded through contractors, neighbours and friends of friends of friends!

I thoroughly enjoy what I do and pride myself on providing a professional service to ensure client gets what they set out for.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm a sole trader, this means I will solely design and manage your project from concept to completion which may differ if you go to a larger design studio or architectural practice. In addition, I do not take on many projects at once meaning you will always receive an immediate response to any questions you have.

I work in 3D which allows the client to visualise their design, in the past and still to this day some companies can only provide you with a 2D image of your project and this can be difficult to envisage. With the use of virtual video software, a 3D model can be walked through as if it were the final product and this provides comfort the client when making design decisions. Once the design options have been decided, high quality 2D information will be produced ready for their proposed use, whether that be planning permission, tendering the construction or for building regulations.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I can provide all services online or remotely, I can use publicly available data like Rightmove listings, Google Maps and previous Planning Permission submissions rather than undertaking surveys in person. (Some dimensions may need to be confirmed by the client). The use of virtual video software now availably and more commonly can also be used for meetings and design reviews.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

If a site visit is required, a face covering will always be worn and where applicable all visits will be kept to external viewing only to avoid close contact.

I like to promote the use of online meetings as these allow presentation of the model and drawings in an interactive way, this can be a better use of time and also be a safer method of communicating throughout the pandemic.
