What makes a great website?
Everything about a website is determined by the design: the visual layout, colours, text styles, graphics, images, links and speed. Getting all these right can make the difference between visitors picking up the phone or moving on to another site.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I like to get to know a little about the business my client is trying to promote, so that I can understand what visitors to the site will be looking for.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy the mixture of design and technical aspects that combine to make an interesting site, but love it when the client says "that's great"!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started with just one site, which formed the basis for the tolmedia platform. A series of word-of-mouth recommendations followed until I realised that it could become a full-time occupation, so the business simply evolved.

I can get a business online with a great-looking website at a reasonable price, that is search-engine friendly and with content management built-in - so that the client can update a news page, refine their bio text, tell customers about a new offer or even add a completely new page to a showcase portfolio.
