James has installed a flat roof which had no Vapour Control BArrier, no Fall , wrong Celtoex and badly installed Felt, Leading to leaks. No help from James and he did not compensate. DO NOT USE THIS Builder ad he will give you a flat roof that leaks and will not make good. More...

This is to say how great BAPM LTD was carrying out our loft conversion and associated internal building works throughout our home.
They were reasonable priced, efficient and the manor and common courtesy provided by the whole team treating my home as if it were their own, was such a breath of fresh air to see from a building company.
The timeline was kept on time considering that we added so much additional works to the original schedule and the finishing was excellent and many friends and relative commented on the superior results.

How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
Upon inspection of the existing area, most garage conversions are suitable to convert unless there are signs of poor deterioration to the sub-structure or actual existing shell of the dwelling.
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
To comply with building regulations, ie the roof structure is sound to add insulation requirements and the same for the floor and wall structure. You would require an architect to assess the requirements and implement the the clients specifications such as roof lights or further windows to be added and if the garage door is to be removed.
How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
To check if other houses have done a loft conversion and to check if the head room in the loft void is high enough from the loft floor joists up to the roof ridge beam.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Most loft conversions are done a permitted development therefore no planning permission required but always check first. Appoint a suitable architect to run through the initial stages and layout of the loft your looking to do then instruct the architect to provide the building regulations and structural calculations. In most cases, straight forward with this process.
How long have you been in business?
Approx 15 years now but in the industry for 30 years.
What guarantee does your work come with?
A standard 1 year from completion but the option for a 10 structural warrantee but at a cost between 2.5 & 3.5% of the build cost value. Please not that the appointed building control company if private or council, provides the assurance of the works are complied to all building regulations.
What do you love most about your job?
Every project is different and we love challenging projects to overcome complex designs. Meeting new people and offering a quality finish to which our clients recommend us to their friends and family members.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I love buildings and how you can turn them from something that has been out dated and in a poor state of repair to something completely different and unrecognizable when we complete, then your left wondering if this was the same house you started on!
Why should our clients choose you?
My edge over others is that I love what I do and because I have gone through renovations on a couple of occasion personally and I am sympathetic to what my clients go through. Also I love the creativity that comes with many projects where we can overcome issues that sometimes arise which makes you learn something new every time. It's never always the same on any project from one to the other and to achieve the end result, always inspires me.
