So it's VE Day on Friday 8th May 2020, the country is still under lockdown and all the neighbours are starting our daily, socially distanced chat and meet up in the street at 4pm.
Then we hear Churchill's famous "Fight them on the beaches" speech blasting out down the road followed by Glen Miller, Vera Lynne, Frank Sinatra, Doris Day and so much more.... Everyone looks around smiling and sees that Dave has set up all his DJ gear in his front garden and is playing a surprise and impromptu DJ set with all the music from the era.
Some 5 hours later and we're all still going having listened to all kinds of music from the 40's to 70's and right up to today, Dave had the whole street singing, dancing and enjoying what was an amazing and superb day made all that special as neighbours who'd never spoke or met before all came out to celebrate. We listened to all the classic Soul, Disco, Jazz, Big-Band, Pop, R&R music through all the decades and it was superb. A day none of us will EVER forget as new friendships were made and that's all down to Dave who entertained us all day.
It was so special so special and we can't thank him enough, the music was superb all day. Thank you from everyone on Eastcote Road.

OMG.... I've only just noticed this review after being locked down and unable to do any gigs for almost 16 months now. The pleasure was all mine tbh as I'd missed doing this so much, and still do, will do the same again for our eventual street party once we can open up again. Thank you all for your kind words.

Dave recently DJ'd at a large corporate event for my work and I have to say, everyone was massively impressed with how well he dealt with us all and coped with the ridiculous amount of requests from a bunch of pissed up staff. The music was spot on all day and just got even better for the main evening proceedings. A great choice of songs, a superb vibe and brill sound quality made it a huge success. Booked Dave for my Dad's Birthday party as I love the music he plays (heard him before on Bonfire night). Turned up very early on the night and played all the music we requested and more, kept us dancing all night, which I must admit was a difficult task for an 80th Birthday party with so many generations and people to please. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Get the ladies up and the gents will follow! Constantly reading the crowd to see what's working and what isn't then adjusting your song choice accordingly. It's also important to know in advance the age group your catering for and what the clients own music tastes are so you can arrive with a good choice of music already in your crates. Song choice is way more important than mixing skills so get that right and you have a happy, full dance floor.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I would describe my style as multi-genre, open-style as I enjoy playing most music across many genre's and era's. I would say I specialise in Dance, House, Classic Soul & Disco, Pop, Top 40, Chart, Techno, Classic Rock, Heavy Rock/Metal, Indie, Old School, Jazz & Blues.
What do you love most about your job?
Nothing better than a full dance floor and seeing everyone enjoying themselves dancing to the music that you are playing for them, especially to tracks they've not heard before or in a very long time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked in the music business all my life, I was a frustrated DJ from my teens (going to parties with my box of 7" Singles) so I just thought, what the hell, go for it! I then started DJ'ing for my boys school events and got thrown in at the deep end for their annual Bonfire Night, for no less than 1800 people. The school equipment was awful so I went out and bought all of my own.
Why should our clients choose you?
Most of all I'm very reliable, professional, courteous, friendly and happy to cater the music for what you would like to hear, not what I want to play. All of my equipment is self-owned and rock solid reliable so there are no performance or sound issues due to poor gear being provided. Speak to me and you'll book me.
