Unfortunately my experience of Dolly Char the Eastbourne franchise run by Chris Smith was very poor. He cancelled my cleaner with less than a weeks notice and did not even try to find us a replacement. Was really worried and contacted cleaner direct as we had got on so well and thought I had done something wrong. Cleaner was very apologetic and her husband was ill. Chris made no attempt to explain this to me. He also refused to refund the (albeit small) amount we had paid up front. I will never use a franchise service again, never ever recommend Dolly Char. We have been in business since 2001 and in 2005 hit the Franchising market based on the Dolly Char Lincolnshire business model.
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
No, everybody likes their own particular products and fragrances so the cleaner will use the products you supply. The cleaners will use your equipment in order to avoid cross contamination or allergy issues between households with and without pets.
What do you love most about your job?
The emails and texts we receive from happy customers thanking us for our fabulous service.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Dolly Char was started when an elderly family member was struggling to source a suitable cleaner. Once one cleaner had been sourced and vetted the idea took off and is now a thriving national franchise.

Domestic Cleaning
Services can include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dish washing, cleaning inside windows etc
Laundry & Bedding
Can include loading your washing machine, hanging out washed laundry, stripping and remaking beds.
Blue Light Card Services
We offer a reduced rate to valid 'Blue Light Card' holders.
Ironing
Ironing is done in your own home so you don't have to worry about losing items or having to wait for them to be delivered back to you.
