Cadence Counselling Services

I'm a counsellor who is happy to come to you, work with you online, or anywhere you feel comfortable. I'm alternative and LGBTQI+ friendly, have a passion for relationships and chronic mental health challenges. Whether you're hitting a life speed bump or have a long term goal, I provide therapy that will enable you to live more in line with your values and goals. I believe the clinical setting is a barrier to trust and comfort, so I will come to you or meet you somewhere you feel safe and comfortable - a park? A cafe? A seat by the water? The choice is yours!

What do you love most about your job?

Helping people to realise their authentic self and change their lives for the better. It's what keeps me going!

What inspired you to start your own business?

After 20 years in the IT industry I realised that I was not fulfilled. I've always loved helping people and I've always been that shoulder to cry on and the secret keeper. So I decided to make a change. I got my Diploma of Counselling and started Cadence to help people live better lives and to feel like I've made a difference in the world.

Why should our clients choose you?

I've always thought the clinical setting was imposing, scary and a barrier to the therapeutic relationship; not to mention that there are many people who can't travel easily or are housebound. I also feel that the limits of business hours reduce accessibility in all our busy lives. So I decided to create Cadence Counselling Services to fill those needs. I have extended hours, 7 days a week, and will come to you.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I can. I have Zoom, Google Meet, Teams and a mobile phone and I'm happy to work in whatever medium suits you.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I'm double-vaccinated and happy to wear a mask. I ask my clients what they're comfortable with. While masks aren't ideal for the therapeutic relationship, it's better that people feel safe.
