Often our motivation is created by pain - feeling tired all the time, clothes not fitting, lacking self confidence etc. After changing our habits the pain points go as your health improves your confidence increases, you drop dress size and have acheived your goals. The pain which was motivating to go to the gym, meal prep, priortise quality sleep etc is no longer there. Soon enough we start skipping gym sessions, don't meal plan as much, go for more convenience food options, spend more time on our phones at night than going to bed etc. Over time our health begins to decline, weight comes back and find ourselves back where we started. This also effects your mental health, as you start to speak negatively to yourself - I'm failure, I'm always going to be fat, I'm just lazy - none of these thoughts are going to motivate you to go to the gym, do meal prep, drink more water.
When our motivation comes from what we value this is where the mindset shift changes. And always have something to motivate us to continue daily habits and self care.
Cannot beat the feeling of seeing someone smile and having fun. Many friendships and connections have been made between members. Wanting to come and have fun with friends whilst working hard. Improving self confidence, having more energy to do things that bring them joy. Helping mums and dad live healthy lives, passing on these healthy having to the kids, and more time and energy to play and be present with their family.
After our own journey with mental health, we struggled to find a facility which didn't us feel judged or not good enough. Lacking confidence we found most gym to be intimidating and not very supportive.
Exercise has been an important part of taking care of our mental health, we wanted to provide safe, supportive environment for other people who felt just like us.
