At my practice, I offer lots of different types of counselling services – from individual sessions to group therapy. It all depends on what each client needs and what they’ll benefit from. Because a lot of my clients lead busy lives, I also offer online and telephone counselling if that suits their schedule better. Although I always suggest coming in for a face-to-face session now and then, as these are often very helpful.
To be a certified counsellor, you need to have a Level 4 qualification in counselling. This can be as a diploma, or at a degree or postgraduate level. I chose to go down the university route by undertaking a BSc Hons in Psychology & Counselling. This meant that I got a degree and was accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am now a registered counsellor with over 10 years of experience and have completed a number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) modules.
Most of my clients have certain goals in mind when it comes to their therapy. Often they want to resolve issues which are causing difficulties in their lives. This may be problems in their personal relationships that they want help working through. It could be with their partner, family, friends, or work colleagues. Or they may want to develop coping mechanisms to help deal with their own mental health. But often these can interlink. For example, if a client is wanting help with their personal relationships, this often has a positive knock-on effect on their own mental health.

The support and guidance that I receive from Kinder Wayz Counseling and Life Coaching has been extremly beneficial and rewarding. I have been able, through the guidance provided, to evaluate various areas of my life that have been sources of struggle for me. I have been provided with suggestions that have been very beneficial and that have "opened" my eyes to areas of need in my life. My counselor/life coach is very understanding, compassionate, and extremly knowledgeable. My counselor/life coach makes herself very accessible and her communications are top notch.

Buffy is exactly what I was looking for in a coach!! I had experience working with a life coach previously and after about a year and a half off, and some life changes, I felt I needed someone to help me and my daughter navigate the challenges we were just "getting through" day by day. One of the things that made Buffy stand out, and ultimately why we chose her, was her extensive background and education working with children and adults on varying levels of need. Our experience working with Buffy has been heartening, encouraging, humbling and transforming. I feel like I'm talking with a friend who gives the best advice. I feel accountable for my actions and Buffy gives the BEST tools/wording/support (ask her about the button!!!) through all of life's things. She made both my daughter and myself at ease to where the conversation just flows and then you realize you've been talking for an hour and a half! And both my daughter and myself feel our shoulders drop and more relaxed knowing we have the tools and someone in our corner supporting us. Buffy has a flat rate (which I LOVED!), flex and drop in appts (calls/video chat/texts for when you need her on an off day) and never makes you feel rushed. I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience working with Buffy. She is literally a God send and I'm so grateful to have her in our lives!!
